Version: 1.0.0 2023-11-25
License: mit
Summary description: A simple package to format Backus-Naur form (BNF)
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The new `bnf` environment provides a more flexible environment to
typeset BNF grammars, without sacrificing the simple DSL used for
the (now deprecated) `bnfgrammar` environment.
This new version provides
1. a DSL more tolerable than the previous version, e.g., it now
accepts trailing delimiters (`;;`), leading alternative delimiter
(`|`), etc;
2. flexible configuration, e.g., custom delimiters and symbols;
3. more helpful error/warning messages;
4. the backend as the `tabularray` package; and
5. (hopefully) a more descriptive manual.

License type: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Annotate PDF slides
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am pleased to announce the release of pdfannotations, now available on CTAN.
This LaTeX package is specifically designed for enhancing PDF slides with
annotations, interludes, and code snippets. The package supports a variety of
environments, including `slideannotate` for direct annotations on PDF slides,
and `slideinterlude` for inserting comprehensive content between slides.
Crucially, pdfannotations accommodates a wide range of LaTeX elements, making it
versatile for various applications. It supports mathematical environments,
allowing for the integration of complex mathematical expressions directly onto
PDF slides. Additionally, the package is equipped to handle LaTeX markup and
programming code, making it an invaluable tool for academic and professional
presentations.
Developed using LaTeX3 syntax, pdfannotations is compatible with the pdfLaTeX
compiler, ensuring broad accessibility. Its latest version features enhanced
error handling and debug logging for an improved user experience. Whether you're
looking to enrich your presentations with detailed mathematical formulas, LaTeX
markup, or code snippets, pdfannotations offers a robust and flexible solution.

The thermodynamics package has been re-implemented using expl3 and xparse

interface did not change significantly, but this implementation makes it much
easier to create new symbols/properties, and I think the package code is more
readable now as well. There is also some limited error-checking that is done to
improve error messages. I also solved an issue present in the first one in which
variables would appear in a different order in one partial derivative than in
another; they are now sorted into a predictable order.

Léo Colisson submitted an update to the
robust-externalize
package.
Version: 2.2
License: mit
Summary description: Cache anything (TikZ, python, ...) in a robust, efficient and pure way
Announcement text:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fix a regression from 2.1 (it was impossible to have new commands in the cached
image) and a few bugs (`compile in parallel` was failing in MacOs, and `auto
forward` was failing in the presence of an environment).
More precisely:
- v2.1 introduced two bugs where hashes could not be used in a |cacheMe|
environment, and |auto forward| was not working if the string was containing
an environment. This is fixed now.
- Fix issue with |compile in parallel| on MacOs (xargs there is not GNU xargs
and is missing |-a| option)
- Added `*ExpandableDocumentCommandAutoForward`.
- Added `genericAutoForward` to forward arbitrary code.
- Added `if windows` and `if unix` tests to apply different settings, like to
disable compilation in parallel on windows.
- Added details on the future difference between `if matches` and `if matches word`
