New in this release: QCM now comes both in class and style form. QCM is a package for making multiple choices questionnaires (QCM is the corresponding French acronym) under LaTeX 2e. A special environment allows you to define questions and possible answers. You can specify which answers are correct and which are not. QCM not only formats the questions for you, but also generates a form (a grid that your students will have to fill in), and a mask (the same grid, only with correct answers properly checked in). You can then print the mask on a slide and correct the questionnaires more easily by superimposing the mask on top of students' forms. Tobias Oetiker provided a new version of acronym for me to install, on tuesday 2nd november. it's been noticed that this version had an incorrect version number in it... ... so we now have a new version, 1.16; just installed here in macros/latex/contrib/acronym version 1.16 has no distinguishing property _other_ than a correct record of its version number. Announcement: This is version 3.00 of beamer, a class for creating presentations using latex. To use it, you also need - pgf version >=0.63, - xcolor version >=2.00 To install the class follow the instructions in doc/beameruserguide.pdf. This is a major update of beamer, containing many changes, most having to do with a new theme management. Old presentations should still compile without errors, but some slight color and spacing changes may occur, however. The update from pgf 0.63 to 0.64 is just a minor bugfix and not needed to use the new beamer version. Here are the changelogs: Beamer version 3.00: Themes: - Completely new theme management. - Lot's of new variations of themes. - Font/element/layout/color themes are orthogonal and can be freely combined. - Old themes obsolete, but supported for compatibility. - Original default theme is now in beamerthemecompatibility.sty. The conversion is mostly done by specialized BibTeX style files, derived from a converted bibliography style template. This ensures that the original BibTeX styles are faithfully reproduced. Some postprocessing is performed by Perl code. This is an update of the bib2html program written by David Hull in 1996 and maintained by him until 1998. I have been a happy user of the program since 1995, using the program to keep my publication list up to date, and, lately, to generate the on-line bibliography list for my book Code Reading: The Open Source Perspective (Addison-Wesley 2003). After 1998 no other changes were made to the program, and I failed to locate an active program home page. Since there were a number of changes I needed to bring the program up to date with evolving web standards, I decided to adopt bib2html for maintenance, evolution, and further distribution. The first new public release made in 2004, features support for XHTML 1.0.
