This package identifies the circumstances where the geometry command of the geometry package may safely be used, (other, of course, than in the preamble of a document) and provides a mechanism for using it. The package makes use of the author’s gmutils package. Gmdoc is a LaTeX package and an example class for documenting (La)TeX packages, document classes, .dtx etc., providing hyperlinks. The package is believed to be compatible with doc and permits minimal markup of code (the macrocode environment is no longer necessary). The package provides automatic detection of definitions (detecting such things as def, ewcommand, DeclareOption etc.). Each line is set in math mode so all the indentation and spacing is done automatically. The notation |variable_name| can be used within normal text, maths expressions or programs to indicate a variable name. Use origbar to get a normal | symbol in a program. The commands A, B, R, T and typeset the corresponding bold letter with the next object as a substript (eg S1 typesets {f S$_1$} etc). They now cope with primes as well, (eg $S2'''$). The program.sty file can be easily edited to reflect your favoured style. Typesetting a program is as easy as: (IF x e 0 THEN |long_name|_{123} = x^y FI) See the program-demo.tex file for examples. The package supports a number of features of the Latin Modern fonts which are not easily accessible via the default (La)TeX support provided in the official distribution. In particular, the package supports the use of the various styles of digits available, small-caps and upright italic shapes, and alternative weights and widths. It also supports variable width typewriter and the quotation font. By default, the package uses proportional oldstyle digits and variable width typewriter but this can be changed by passing appropriate options to the package. The package also supports using e.g. different styles of digits within a document so it is possible to use proportional oldstyle digits by default, say, but tabular lining digits within a particular table. See the README for details. The package requires the official Latin Modern distribution, including ts (La)TeX support. The package relies on the availability of both the fonts themselves and the official font support files. Only the T1 and TS1 encodings are supported for text fonts. With this option, you can now decide, whether you want to have the fields 'origlocation', 'origpublisher' and 'origyear' to be printed or not. -> New option 'origfieldsformat=parens|brackets|punct'. The default is 'punct' which means that the new punctuation mark 'origfieldspunct' (default: addcommaspace) is used to introduce the reprint phrase. If you choose 'parens' or 'brackets', the reprint phrase is put in parentheses or brackets, respectively, and the origfieldspunct is ignored. - New option 'shorthandwidth'. With this option you can set the width of the label in the list of shorthands to any length (e.g. '3em' or '40pt'). This is useful if you have very long shorthands. -> New punctuation command 'shorthandpunct' which is only exerted when you use the option 'shorthandwidth'. Then it is set to a colon. You can redefine this punctuation command with enewcommand. -> New length 'shorthandsep' which is only exerted if you use the option 'shorthandwidth'.
