Summary description: Update to v0.3: Automatic sub-preamble inclusion inside the
main preamble
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This update brings some exciting new options for the
'standalone' package. Using these options the preamble code
of the sub-files can not only be skipped but extracted into
an auxiliary file (.sta) which is then loaded by the main
document during the next LaTeX run.
The body content of the sub-files is skipped during the
first run to avoid compile errors.
To avoid option clashes of loaded packages all package
option can be extracted first and predefined using
'PassOptionsToPackage'.
Alternatively the sub-preambles can be simply printed
(without special macros added by 'standalone') into a
different auxiliary file (.stp) for easy manual copy&paste
into the main document. If requested a list of required
packages and pgf, tikz and tikz-timing libraries can be
printed avoiding duplicates.
New macros:
onlyifstandalone{<code>} Used to hide code from the
sub-preamble code extractor.
standaloneignore Can be used to ignore code before the
'documentclass' of sub-files.

relying on the TFM values. This prevents clipped characters
at the edges of the SVG graphic.

On Tue, 23 Mar 2010 Uwe Lück submitted an update to the
nicetext
package.
Summary description: `makedoc' + `niceverb' - an alternative documentation system for LaTeX
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The `nicetext' bundle offers minimal markup syntax for
restricted kinds of text: There should not be much more
characters typed than printed! -- mainly: quick
documentation of (smaller) LaTeX packages -- achieved by
active characters and preprocessing similar to
`docstrip' (opposite direction however, incl. some txt
to TeX).
New with release 0.3:
* `substr.tex' should typeset LaTeX quality
documentation from next available (on your install)
substry.sty's ASCII/UTF-8 input (works with me) -- first
application of `niceverb''s auto mode and
`makedoc.sty' to a third-party package!
* `makedoc' simplified: single
MakeInputJobDoc[<in>][<out>]{<header>}{<parser>}
generates a documentation file from the package file
and typesets it immediately (kind of DocInput
equivalent) -- see `Using makedoc the simplest way' in
`makedoc.pdf'
* `|...|' from `niceverb' typesets an inline frame box
for setting-off a command description, modifiable by
hooks (e.g., colorbox)
* `niceverb' syntax works in page headers, PDF
bookmarks, and `hyperref' labels and otherwise much
better than before, dis-/re-enableable featurewise as
well as altogether
* documentation extended, lists of script commands
* configurable txt to TeX functionality or other
replacements like ASCII-arrows to arrow commands or
inserting index entries (setting up expandable
replacement chains slightly more comfortable) -- try
with templates and dialogue
* `fifinddo' works with character codes > 127, improved
setup
* `makedoc' requires the `moreverb' package.

On Tue, 16 Mar 2010 Josef Kleber submitted an update to the
pdfcomment
package.
Summary description: A user-friendly interface to PDF annotations
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a long time pdflatex has offered the command pdfannot
for inserting
arbitrary PDF annotations. However, the command is presented in
a form where additional knowledge of the definition of the
PDF format is
indispensable. This package is an answer to the – occasional
– questions
in newsgroups, about how one could use the comment function
of Adobe
Reader. At least for the writer of LaTeX code, the package
offers a
convenient and user-friendly means of using pdfannot to
provide comments
in PDF files. Since version v1.1, pdfcomment.sty also supports:
LaTeX -> dvips -> ps2pdf, LaTeX -> dvipdfmx and XeLaTeX.
Unfortunately, support of PDF annotations by PDF viewers is
sparse to
nonexistent. The reference viewer for the development of
this package is
Adobe Reader.
License: LPPL
Changes in v1.5d:
- Bugfix: faulty expansion broke hyperref's auto corrected
conversions
of LaTeX commands like $ or extCR to

PDFUnicode in comments

Summary description: A bash script for installing a LaTeX font family

With this script you can install a LaTeX font family
(Postscript Type1,
Truetype, Opentype). At least the four basic cuts + (faked)
small caps
+ faked slanted, but no expert fonts. The script will rename
the fonts
automatically (optinal) or will otherwise expect *.afm files
and the
font files (in Postscript Type1 format!) named in the Karl
Berry scheme
(e.g. 5bbr8a.pfb). After running the script, you should have
a working
font installation in your local TeX tree.
License: LPPL
New in v1.3:
- added installfont-tl for TeXLive (thanks to Christoph Bier)
- added support for Truetype (needs ttf2pt1) and Opentype fonts
(needs otftotfm (LCDF Typetools) and pf2afm (Ghostscript))
- added evaluation of command line options
- added an uninstall option
- added support for installation as
mdefault, sfdefault

On Thu, 11 Mar 2010, Dominik Waßenhoven submitted an update to the
biblatex-dw
package.
Summary description: Humanities styles for biblatex
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
version 1.3 (for biblatex 0.9)
This version of biblatex-dw supports biblatex 0.9. Please
note that you have to update biblatex as well if you would
like to use biblatex-dw 1.3! Users might need to update
their data due to some changes in biblatex, especially
concerned with date specifications. Please follow the hints
for users given in biblatex's RELEASE notes.
Further changes in this release:
- The option 'isrn' and 'issn' were dropped. Their
functionality can be achieved by the biblatex option
'isbn'.
- BUGFIX: When using 'idembibformat=dash', the @inreference
entries had a wrong punctuation inside the title. This is
now fixed.
- Option 'pseudoauthor' changed: if set to true (and the
entry option 'pseudoauthor' is used), the author of this
entry is printed. The new commands ibleftpseudo and
ibrightpseudo are used to enclose the author. These
commands are empty by default. If the global option
'pseudoauthor' is set to 'false', the author of entries
with the entry option 'pseudoauthor' are not printed at
all. The default value for the global option is 'true'
(i.e. the behaviour is the same regardless of the entry
option 'pseudoauthor').
- New command locationdatepunct for the punctuation
between location and year/date. The default is addspace.
- New command locationpublisherpunct for the punctuation
between location and publisher. The default is
addcolonspace.
- New command publisherdatepunct for the punctuation
between publisher and year/date. The default is
addcommaspace.

On Tue, 9 Mar 2010, Josef Kleber submitted an update to the
pdfcomment
package.
Summary description: A user-friendly interface to PDF annotations
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a long time pdflatex has offered the command pdfannot for inserting
arbitrary PDF annotations. However, the command is presented in
a form where additional knowledge of the definition of the PDF format is
indispensable. This package is an answer to the – occasional – questions
in newsgroups, about how one could use the comment function of Adobe
Reader. At least for the writer of LaTeX code, the package offers a
convenient and user-friendly means of using pdfannot to provide comments
in PDF files. Since version v1.1, pdfcomment.sty also supports:
LaTeX -> dvips -> ps2pdf, LaTeX -> dvipdfmx and XeLaTeX.
Unfortunately, support of PDF annotations by PDF viewers is sparse to
nonexistent. The reference viewer for the development of this package is
Adobe Reader.
