line before the quoting environment. A key--value interface allows to
configure font properties and spacing and to control orphans within and
after the environment.

realbox
package.
Summary description: Provides variants of common ``box''-macros which reads their content as real box and not as macro argument.
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This LaTeX package uses the authors other package 'collectbox' to define
variants of common box related macros which read the content as real box and
not as macro argument. This enables the use of verbatim or other special
material as part of this content.
The provided macros simply have the same names as the original versions but
start with an upper-case letter instead.
The long-form macros, like Makebox, can also be used as environments, but
not the short-form macros, like Mbox. However, normally the long form uses
the short form anyway when no optional arguments are used.

Hello,
In the next few hours, our hosting provider does maintenance work on
infrastructure. During that time, power will be turned off.
For that reason, I will shut down comedy.dante.de, a.k.a.
dante.ctan.org, the German CTAN server in short time. Controlled shut
down is much better than simply plugging the cord... ;-)
The server will be back up in roughly 9 hours, at 07:00 UTC. (That's
9am Central European Summer Time, in case you're wondering. :-)
During that time, CTAN mailing lists will not be reachable, mirrors
can't rsync, no downloads or uploads can happen.
I hope that this doesn't cause any inconvenience.

mf2pt1
package.
Summary description: Produce PostScript Type 1 fonts from Metafont source
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
mf2pt1 facilitates producing PostScript Type 1 fonts from a
Metafont source file. mf2pt1's advantage over tools such as
TeXtrace and mftrace is that it does not rely on bitmap
tracing and therefore can produce higher-quality Type 1
fonts than trace-based tools. The catch is that mf2pt1
imposes some restrictions on the Metafont input so it is
not, as the name may imply, an automatic converter of
arbitrary Metafont fonts to Type 1 format.
Version 2.4.5 incorporates a bug fix from Werner Lemberg
that prevents non-INT arguments from being passed to
hsbw in the definition of .notdef. If you have been
receiving unknown charstring command messages from t1asm
and/or Stack underflow on hsbw in .notdef messages from

----------------------------------------------------------------------
After an interminable wait, this release fixes a terribly embarrassing
incompatibility with recent versions of expl3. I'm very sorry for any
inconvenience. Other changes are listed below:
* Command names are now `protected`; this makes them safe to use in moving
arguments and so on
* Similarly to the change in v0.5c, the main math font is now loaded in
math family zero (equiv. to LaTeX's `operators` math font)
* `mathring` added
* Ensure that a math font has been selected in order to prevent problems
in minimal documents (this will be unnecessary when the OpenType LM math
font is released)
* Documentation for which was which of epsilon/varepsilon was backwards!
(thank to Rasmus Villemoes for pointing this out)
* Spurious `upUpsilon` removed (the one at U+03A5 is now the correct one)
* Typo when defining `dprime` fixed
(thanks to Ulrik Vieth for these last two)
* Fix the math class of `modtwosum`; it is now a large operator
(thanks to Michael Ummels)
* Move several LuaTeX-related patches to the `lualatex-math` package

Summary description: a replacement for LaTeX's verbatim package

Announcement text:

This package provides the LaTeX environment 'listing', an alternative to the
built-in 'verbatim' environment. The 'listing' environment is specially
taylored for including listings of computer program source code into documents.
The main advantages over the original 'verbatim' environment are that 'listing'
environments automatically fix leading white-space so that the environment and
program listing can be indented with the rest of the document source and that
'listing' environments can easily be customised and extended.

of downloading the large (2+gb) .iso -- see

alternatives.
Package updates will restart in another day or two.
If anyone notices stale or missing information on the TL web pages, or

Summary description: Collect macro arguments as boxes
License type: lppl
Announcement text:

This package provides macros to collect and process an macro argument (i.e.
something which looks like a macro argument) as horizontal box instead as a real
macro argument. These arguments will be stored like when using savebox,
sbox or the lrbox environment and allow verbatim or other special code. Instead
of explicit braces also implicit braces in the form of group and egroup
are supported. This allows to split the begin and end over different macros or to
place them in the begin and end code of an environment. The provided macros are
mainly intended to be used inside other macros or environments
