Mico Loretan submitted an update to the
selnolig
package.
Summary description: Selective suppression of typographic ligatures for English and German texts
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The selnolig package suppresses typographic ligatures selectively, i.e., based
on predefined search patterns. The search patterns focus on ligatures deemed
inappropriate because they span morpheme boundaries. For example, the word
opt{shelfful}, which is mentioned in the TeXbook as a word for which the ff
ligature might be inappropriate, is automatically typeset as shelf/ful rather
than as shel{ff}ul.
For English and German language documents, the selnolig package provides
extensive rules for the selective suppression of so-called common ligatures.
These comprise the ff, fi, fl, ffi, and~ffl ligatures as well as the ft and~fft
ligatures. Other f-ligatures, such as fb, fh, fj and fk, are suppressed
globally, while making exceptions for names and words of non-English/German
origin, such as Kafka and fjord.
For English language documents, the package further provides ligature
suppression macros for a number of so-called discretionary or rare ligatures
such as ct, st, and sp.
The selnolig package requires use of the LuaLaTeX format provided by a recent
TeX distribution such as TeXLive2012 or 2013 and MiKTeX2.9.
The latest update, to version 0.218, entails mainly improvements to the package's user guide.

AutoLaTeX may output documents in DVI/XDV or PS formats in addition to the PDF
format. To enable this last feature, all the figure converters (the translators)
are update to produce PDF or EPS figures. The user is able to select its
preferred TeX compiler: latex, pdflatex, xelatex, lualatex. AutoLaTeX is now
better to detect the main TeX file: it select the TeX file that contains the
macro documentclass. The converter (translator) based on GNU octave is added.

Mico Loretan submitted the
selnolig
package.
Summary description: Selective suppression of typographic ligatures for English and German texts
License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
TeX distribution such as TeXLive2012 or 2013 and MiKTeX2.9.

spelling
package.
Summary description: support for spell-checking of LuaTeX documents
License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This package supports spell-checking of TeX documents
compiled with the LuaTeX engine. It can give visual
feedback in PDF output similar to WYSIWYG word
processors. The package relies on an external
spell-checker application that can check a plain text
file and output a list of bad spellings. The package
should work with most spell-checkers, even dumb,
TeX-unaware ones.

Summary description: Expandable operations on long numbers
License type: lppl
Announcement text given by the package's contributor:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Release 1.07a (2013/05/26) brings important additions:
1. xintexpr...
elax is an expandable parser of algebraic
expressions involving the basic operations +,-,*,/, and ^ as infix
operators, as well as ! for the factorial. It expands everything
along the way and recognizes integers, decimal numbers, numbers in
scientific notations, and arbitrary levels of parenthesizing.
2. xintfloatexpr...
elax is the same thing, the operations being
excuted with a precision D, whose default is 16 digits, and may be
set arbitrarily (theoretical maximum 32768).
3. the other package macros now accept the scientific notation on
input and xintFloat outputs in floating point format with a given
precision D either specified as an optional argument or globally set.
The bundle now comprises the core constituents xint, xintfrac, and
the latest xintexpr which loads the two previous ones, and auxiliary
packages xintgcd, xintseries and xintcfrac.
The macros are usable with any flavor of TeX with the e-TeX
extensions. Users of LaTeX will do usepackage{xintexpr}, others
input xintexpr.sty
