CTAN update: bibarts
by CTAN Announcements 01 Dec '15

01 Dec '15

Timo Baumann submitted an update to the bibarts package. Version number: 2.0 License type: gpl Summary description: Arts-style bibliographical information Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BibArts is a LaTeX package to assist in making bibliographical features common in the arts, and the humanities (history, political science, philosophy, etc.). BIBARTS.STY provides commands for quotation, abbreviations, and especially for a formatted citation of literature, journals (periodicals), edited sources, and archive sources. In difference to its forerunner, it helps to use slanted fonts (italics), and is able to set ibidem automatically in footnotes. It will also copy all citation information, abbreviations, and register key words into lists for an automatically generated appendix. That lists could refer to page and footnote numbers. BibArts has nothing to do with BibTeX. The lists are created by BIBSORT. A file BIBSORT.EXE is part of the package and successfully tested on WINDOWS 8.1. The source code BIBSORT.C is not written for a certain operating system or compiler. This version 2.0 does no more uses MAKEINDEX. The package has massive extensions in comparison with its forerunners. It provides an emulation for 1.3 texts, but better keep copies of the files of older versions of BibArts. A short English documentation is BA-SHORT.PDF, the full German documentation is BIBARTS.PDF. Published under the terms of the GNU General Public License. BibArts 2.0 (C) Timo Baumann 2015 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/bibarts More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/bibarts We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org . Version: 1.8 License: lppl1.3 Summary description: Prepare a package for upload to CTAN Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ctanify is intended for developers of LaTeX packages who want to distribute their packages via the Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN). Given a list of filenames, ctanify creates a tarball (a .tar.gz file) with the files laid out in CTAN's preferred structure. The tarball additionally contains a ZIP (.zip) file with copies of all files laid out in the standard TeX Directory Structure (TDS), which facilitates inclusion of the package in the TeX Live distribution of TeX. Version 1.8 of ctanify is a minor update that includes a patch by Brent Longborough to include Markdown (.md) and Biblatex data-model (.dbx) files in the ZIP file. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/support/ctanify/ More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/ctanify We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org .
