Summary description: Creating graphics for TeX using Cinderella
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
KeTCindy combines a plugin to Cinderella with free mathematical software
(R, Maxima, ...) to produce high-quality LaTeX graphics.
Using Cinderella to generate graphics in an interactive environment, the
generated image can be fine-tuned using KeTCindy commands embedded into
CindyScript, the scripting language of Cinderella. KeTCindy can be regarded
as a prominent scheme to establish an effective linkage between visualization
tools and editing tools. Moreover, KeTCindy enables the importation of data
calculated or simulated using other mathematical software such as Maxima,
Fricas, Risa/Asir and R, and to combine them with the graphical data, so that
an extremely wide range of mathematical objects can be presented.

xintdefvar foo = expression;
are now accepted, and in the former case the colon may have any
(reasonable) catcode. This was already the case for xintdeffunc
and variants.
- due to some work commit which made it to 1.3 release, xintfrac.sty

l3kernel Release 2018-06-14
===========================
This release introduces a new argument specifier, e. This carries out expansion as message does, but is itself
expandable. At present, this is available as a primitive only in LuaTeX (expanded), but the team expect this to be
added to other engines shortly (the changes have been made to pdfTeX and (u)pTeX in the TeX Live sources). Emulation of
this primitive is also available, meaning that e-type expansion can be used with all engines *now*, though it is *slow*
in emulation mode.
At present, the e-type argument is restricted to exp_args:Ne and similar functions. Where appropriate, some functions
will be renamed to reflect the new type. The team do not expect to use e-type expansion widely until expanded is
available to the majority of users. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Summary description: Create a cross-document bookmark tree

The package defines the concept of a document bundle, which

merges them. The merged bookmarks are listed in all the documents
of the document bundle. In this way, a sort of 'table of contents'
is available to all documents in the bundle.
PDF Creator: no restrictions, use dvips->distiller|ps2pdf, pdflatex,
lualatex, or xelatex.
What's New (2018/06/13): Corrected a misspelling in the
driver specification for pdfmark. Now allow the docbundle key
to be empty or missing; in this case, we set docbundle=jobname.
Bookmarks are generated for that document alone, as an extra benefit,
the keys colors and style are still obeyed.

Summary description: Accept CSS-like selectors in tabular, array, …
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The cellprops package reworks the internals of tabular, array, and similar
constructs, and adds a cellprops command accepting CSS-like selectors and
properties. It depends on mdwtab, xcolor and of course expl3 and xparse.
You can use most constructs of mdwtab, but some too hackish usage might
alter the function of cellprops. cellprops uses at most as possible the
public facilites of mdwtab and should thus work with several of table
packages.
It has been tested compatible with several packages (diagbox,
collcell,...), and special care has been taken so that it is compatible
with longtable.

Takuto Asakura submitted an update to the
texdoc
package.
Version number: 3.0
License type: gpl
Summary description: Documentation access for TeX Live
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a big update for Texdoc since 2012!
There are two big features in Texdoc 3.0.
1. New option parser
Now, you can specify multiple options like:
$ texdoc -vsl foo
(this is equivalent to specifying -v -s -l)
Please note that the behavior of the short option -d have
been changed. It *requires* an argument without =, e.g.:
$ texdoc -d score bar
(this is equivalent to specifying --debug=score)
We added a new option -D as a short version of --debug=all.
Please see the help text for more details.
2. Fuzzy search
When the normal search can't find any document in TeX Live,
Texdoc will execute fuzzy search on the list of package names
without user-interactions. The results of fuzzy search are
shown by info message.
(you can see that with the command line option -v)
The default allowance of Levenshtein distance is 5.
You can change this default value by specifying fuzzy_level
in your texdoc.cnf:
fuzzy_level = 3
If fuzzy_level set to 0, the feature will be disabled.
This update also contains several small bug fixes and improvements.
For the quick understanding of the new functions, the slide I used
for a talk in BachoTeX 2018 is available from Speaker Deck:
https://speakerdeck.com/wtsnjp/texdoc3
One more thing (IMPORTANT for distributors): from v3.0, we won't
include Data.tlpdb.lua (the pseudo cache file) in our repository.
If your distribution do not ship the tlpdb, you have to pre-generate
the pseudo cache file to make Texdoc workable.

package.
Version number: 1.4
License type: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Extended filecontents and filecontents*
environments
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
LaTeX2e's filecontents and filecontents* environments enable a LaTeX
source file to generate external files as it's run through latex.
However, there are two limitations of these environments: They refuse
to overwrite existing files; and, they can be used only before the
documentclass declaration. The filecontents package removes these
limitations, making it possible to overwrite existing files and to use
filecontents/filecontents* anywhere.
Version 1.4 of filecontents updates the definitions of tab and form
feed for compatibility with the 2018-04-01 LaTeX release. Thanks to
David Carlisle for the code update.

luavlna
package.
Version: 0.1b 2018-05-31
License: lppl1.3
Summary description: Prevent line breaks after single letter words, units, or adademic titles
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 0.1:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The purpose of this new package is to prevent line breaks after nonsyllabic
prepositions and single letter conjuctions. This behavior is required
by typographic norms in some languages such as Czech or Polish. Luavlna
can detect languages used in the text and insert spaces only in parts of
the document where languages that require this feature were used.
It supports both plain LuaTeX and LuaLaTeX.
Version 0.1a:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Added luavlna- prefix to all Lua modules in order to prevent possible
naming clashes with other modules.
Version 0.1b:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is a bug fix release; there was a missing test in the Lua code,
which could result in a compilation error.
Version number: 1.0
License type: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Date printing, formatting, and manipulation in TeX
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TeX and LaTeX provide few facilities for dates by default, though many
packages have filled this gap. texdate fills it, as well, with a pure
TeX-primitive implementation.
It can print dates, advance them by numbers of days, weeks, or months,
determine the weekday automatically (with an algorithm cribbed from the
dayofweek.tex file written by Martin Minow), and print them in (mostly)
arbitrary format. It can also print calendars (monthly and yearly)
automatically, and can be easily localized for non-English languages.
