Romano Giannetti submitted an update to the
CircuiTikZ
package.
Version: 1.2.0 2020-06-21
License: lppl gpl
Summary description: Draw electrical networks with TikZ
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 1.2.0 (2020-06-21)
In this release, the big change is the rewriting of the voltages output
routine. Now all voltage options (american, european, and straight) take
into account the shape (square border) of the component. The adjusting
parameters are now (at least for passive elements) acting in a similar way
for all the options, too.
- Bumped version number to 1.2 (potentially incompatible changes!)
- Added 1.1.2 checkpoint
- New path-style not, buffer, and Schmitt logic ports
- New tutorial (using the inline not component)
- Voltage output routine rewrite; now it takes into account the
shape of the component also for american and straight voltages
- Several fixes in the logic ports: fixed IEEE `invschmitt` name,
added symmetry to the three-style shorthands for the ports, and so on
- Fixed a gross bug in square poles anchor borders
- Fixed size of not circles in flip-flops (based on logic ports style)
- Fixed the order of initial options, to avoid european
overwriting single options

Scott Pakin submitted an update to the
hyperxmp
package.
Version number: 5.4 2020-06-19
License type: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Embed XMP metadata within a LaTeX document
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
XMP (eXtensible Metadata Platform) is a mechanism proposed by Adobe for
embedding document metadata within the document itself. The metadata are
designed to be easy to extract, even by programs that are oblivious to the
document's file format. Most of Adobe's applications store XMP metadata
when saving files. Now, with the hyperxmp package, it is trivial for
LaTeX document authors to store XMP metadata in their documents as well.
hyperxmp integrates seamlessly with hyperref and requires virtually no
modifications to documents that already exploit hyperref's mechanisms for
specifying PDF metadata. hyperxmp can embed a wide variety of metadata as
XMP, including the list of authors, document title, contact information
(telephone number, postal address, email address, etc.), copyright
statement, keywords, natural language, and much more. hyperxmp is
compatible with pdflatex, latex+dvips+ps2pdf, latex+dvipdfm, xelatex, and
lualatex.
Version 5.4 of hyperxmp is primarily a bug-fix release. However, it also
adds support for the babel package. Languages loaded with babel will
automatically be named in the XMP metadata. Thanks to Javier Bezos for
his guidance on interfacing with babel.

Summary description: Consolidated WEB macros for DVI and PDF output
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This updated version of the 'pwebmac' package makes a few
cosmetic changes in the 'pwebmac.tex' macros that won't affect
users. (Two if-else blocks were slightly simplyfied and the
'link color' can be changed in a single spot.)
It does, however, make very significant changes to the
'makeall' driver script, which is now capable of producing
twice as many tarballs than its predecessor.
It also adds timestamps on almost all PDF documents.
And it typesets the CTWILL program in its own format with
mini-indexes per spread.
Lastly, this update adds file 'index.md' that can be used
to produce a central 'entry point' into the huge collection
of tarballs and their contents.
In total, it references a library of 58 volumes with 5,941 pages
(and counting).

XMP (eXtensible Metadata Platform) is a mechanism proposed by Adobe for embedding

hyperxmp integrates seamlessly with hyperref and requires virtually no modifications to

hyperxmp can embed a wide variety of metadata as XMP, including the list of authors,
document title, contact information (telephone number, postal address, email address,
etc.), copyright statement, keywords, natural language, and much more. hyperxmp is
compatible with pdflatex, latex+dvips+ps2pdf, latex+dvipdfm, xelatex, and lualatex.
Version 5.3 of hyperxmp improves the automatic detection of document metadata. Much of
the acmart and scrlttr2 metadata are now autodetected, as are languages specified using
the polyglossia package. Thanks to Robin Schwab for testing and suggestions. hyperxmp
v5.3 also reduces its dependency on the atenddvi package, as recommended by Nelson Posse
Lago. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Donald P. Story submitted an update to the
dPS
package.
Version number: 2020-06-03
License type: lppl
Summary description: Create a matching game with a hidden message
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Das Puzzle Spiel (dps) is a LaTeX package for creating a puzzle, a message
actually, and a series of questions and answers. The document consumer
matches the questions with the answers. With each match, another letter
appears in the puzzle. Upon completion of all questions, the message
hidden in the puzzle is revealed. The puzzle is primarily designed for the
screen, but you can optionally create the game for paper. DPS was created
as a learning tool.
What's new (2020-06-03) Several options usebtnappr and uselayers. These
are to support the creation of extended questions; the latter uses layers
to typeset the questions into the document; the former uses icon
appearances to do the same. Also, new is you can optionally create a
sideshow. A sideshow is a tiled graphic that is progressively revealed as
the player works through the puzzle. There is an additional option of
having the tiled graphic appear randomly in the designated area and have a
bubble sort rearrange the tiles into their proper order. There are many
other changes and bug fixes.
The package should work for users of dvips->distiller, pdflatex, lualatex,
and xelatex. The usebtnappr option is available to all workflows. The
uselayers option requires the dvips->distiller workflow and the aeb_pro
package.

Summary description: An unofficial LaTeX thesis template for ShanghaiTech University
Announcement text:

Dear CTAN community,
My name is Li Rundong, I'm a graduate student at ShanghaiTech
University. I developed a LaTeX template during writing my
M.S. thesis. I think this template might help with other graduate
students at ShanghaiTech University to quickly develop their thesis,
so I pack it in CTAN tarball format and prepare to upload it to CTAN.
Currently, this template can typeset the M.S. and Ph.D. thesis
to meet the format requirements of ShanghaiTech University.
I believe it is easy to use, and the document (in Chinese)
is clear and easy to follow. In the future, I'll keep developing
it to make it support B.S. thesis typesetting.

Donald P. Story submitted an update to the
icon-appr
package.
Version number: 2020-06-05
License type: lppl1.2
Summary description: Creates icon appearances for form buttons
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Use this package to create icon appearances for push buttons, check box
buttons, and radio buttons form fields.
Package works for pdflatex, lualatex, xelatex, dvips/distiller or
dvips/ps2pdf; some techniques require Acrobat. Pdfmark-type drivers
require, depending on the method used, aeb_pro or graphicxsp.
PDF Viewers: Adobe Reader DC, PDF-XChange Editor, and, of course Adobe
Acrobat. SummatraPDF previews the icon buttons very well.
What's New 2020-06-05: The basic functionality of this package is
unchanged. In this version, the AP entry is added to the Names dictionary
of the PDF catalog. This means that the names of the icons imported in the
embedding environment are known to Acrobat/Adobe Reader/PDF-Exchange
Editor. It also allows the icons to be manipulated using JavaScript
methods, the most significant of which is the Doc.getIcon(<icon-name>)
method. Revised examples illustrate Doc.getIcon().

package.
Version number: 1.7a 2020-06-07
License type: gpl3+
Summary description: Accept CSS-like selectors in tabular, array, …
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
cellprops is a package to setup tabular and array environments appearance with CSS-like
declarations. This release fixes a problem with multicolumns where the background was
drawn correctly, but not the borders which wouldn't span multiple columns. It also
improves performance of :nth-child() pseudo-class handling, and enforces n>=0
in :nth-child(An+B) constructs, as the CSS specification mandates. This makes it possible
to select the five first rows or every other column starting from the fourth. The
specificity of selectors is also truer to the CSS specification, even if for different
selectors with equal specificity the latest one doesn't always win.
