This package provides macros and an environment to generate timing diagrams (digital waveforms) without much effort. The TikZ package is used to produce the graphics. The diagrams may be inserted into text (paragraphs, hbox, etc.) and into tikzpictures. A tabular-like environment is provided to produce larger timing diagrams. Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/pdfcomment Summary description: A user-friendly interface to pdf annotations License type: lppl Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For a long time pdflatex has offered the command pdfannot for inserting arbitrary PDF annotations. However, the command is presented in a form where additional knowledge of the definition of the PDF format is indispensable. This package is an answer to the – occasional – questions in newsgroups, about how one could use the comment function of Adobe Reader. At least for the writer of LATEX code, the package offers a convenient and user-friendly means of using pdfannot to provide comments in PDF files. Since version v1.1, pdfcomment.sty also supports: LaTeX -> dvips -> ps2pdf, LaTeX -> dvipdfmx and XeLaTeX. Unfortunately, support of PDF annotations by PDF viewers is sparse to nonexistent. The reference viewer for the development of this package is Adobe Reader. Eplain's home page is http://tug.org/eplain You can get it off CTAN at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/eplain The manual is available on-line from CTAN or Eplain's home page, or as a hard-copy from http://www.lulu.com/content/113810 (royalties are donated to the TeX Users Group). Here's an excerpt from the NEWS file. * New commands eqnum and eqalignnum, counterparts of (l)eqno and (l)eqalignno, producing equation numbers which can be uniformly transformed to right-aligned ( ighteqnumbers) or left-aligned (lefteqnumbers). * Eplain has borrowed the eTeX, ExTeX, XeTeX and XeLaTeX logos from tugboat.dtx. * idxnameseparator is now expanded once so that the .idx file contains its contents instead of the macro call. * Non-silent indexing macros have been fixed not to produce a spurious newline when newline's catcode is 13 (active). * Eplain now takes care to unactivate any active characters before typesetting index term in the margin for proofing. * Updated ifpdf.sty. * LaTeX package reloading warnings are now not shown on the terminal. * Documentation improvements. Everything should work right out of the box. - a new script, CTeXFonts.lua is included into the scripts directory. Natbib provides a style with author-year and numbered references, as well as much detailed of support for other bibliography use. Provides versions of the standard BibTeX styles that are compatible with natbib - plainnat, unsrtnat, abbrnat. The bibliography styles produced by custom-bib are designed from the start to be compatible with natbib. Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contributed/natbib Summary description: Fix for use with RevTeX, ensures backward compatibility License type: lppl Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- With natbib V8.3, a new merging feature was added, essentially for use with ReVTeX. New in this release: ** fixme, fxerror, fxwarning and fxnote are now robust ** Fix incompatibility with KOMA-Script classes when the lox file is inexistent FiXme is a LaTeX2e package for inserting fixme notes in your documents. Such notes can appear inline, as marginal notes, footnotes, index entries, in the log file and as warnings on stdout. It is also possible to summarize them in a list. When you switch from draft to final mode, any remaining fixme note will be logged, but removed from the document's body. Additionally, critical notes will abort compilation with an informative message.
