Summary description: Calculates the age in years
License type: lppl
Announcement text:

care about leap years and such odd things.

On Thu, 13 Sep 2012 Scott Pakin submitted an update to the
hyperxmp
package.
Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/hyperxmp
Summary description: Embed XMP metadata within a LaTeX document.
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
XMP (eXtensible Metadata Platform) is a mechanism proposed by Adobe for
embedding document metadata within the document itself. The metadata are
designed to be easy to extract, even by programs that are oblivious to the
document's file format. Most of Adobe's applications store XMP metadata when
saving files. Now, with the hyperxmp package, it is trivial for LaTeX document
authors to store XMP metadata in their documents as well. hyperxmp integrates
seamlessly with hyperref and requires virtually no modifications to documents
that already exploit hyperref's mechanisms for specifying PDF metadata.
Version 2.0 of hyperxmp represents a substantial effort by Heiko Oberdiek to
make the package Unicode-compatible. In addition, more metadata are included in
the XMP packet; elements containing commas can now be included in the author and
keyword lists (albeit awkwardly); and a workaround for Adobe Acrobat's confusion
between PDF and XMP author lists is now available.

fnumprint
package.
Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/fnumprint
Summary description: Can decide to typeset a number either as number or as word name
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fnumprint package defines two macros which decide to typeset a number either
as Arabic number or as word name for the number. If the number is between zero
and twelve (including zero and twelve) then the word name will be used. This
package uses the zahl2string package to convert a number in the word name in
German. The conversion of a number (0–12) to the English word name is
implemented by this package. If the number is outside of the range then it will
be typesetted with the numprint package.

Summary description: Tidy up after a TeX run
License type: gpl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
lintex is a utility to remove files generated by a TeX run only if they are newer than the source.
This version introduces the following changes since the previous CTAN version:
* a configuration file to specify the extensions to keep and remove. This is in
contrast to previous versions where extensions handled were hardcoded in
lintex's source, and where the addition of any extension required a new
release;
* an option to keep final documents (e.g. files ending in .pdf, .dvi, .ps),
while removing auxiliary files (e.g. files ending in .aux, .log, etc.);
* a list of extensions removed by default in the documentation.
