Donald P. Story submitted an update to the
grayhints
package.
Version number: 2018-11-01
License type: lppl1.2
Summary description: Produce ‘gray hints’ to a variable text field
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This package provides JavaScript code snippets to create 'gray hints'.
Gray hints, as I term them, are text that appears initially in a text
field that gives a short hint as to what the contents of the text field
should be; for example, a text field might contain the hint 'First
Name', or a date field might read 'yyyy/mm/dd'. As soon as the field
comes into focus, the hint disappears. It reappears when the field is
blurred and the user did not enter any text into the field.
What's New (2018/11/01) Revised package to work correctly with
PDF-XChange Editor (not PDF-XChange View). Improved code for handling
the case where the user commits date by pressing the Enter key (the
data is committed, but the field does not blur). Some commands for
customizing the user experience in the case of pressing the Enter key
to commit.

Josef Kleber submitted an update to the
pdfcomment
package.
Version number: 2.4a
License type: lppl1.3
Summary description: A user-friendly interface to pdf annotations
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a long time pdflatex has offered the command `pdfannot` for inserting
arbitrary PDF annotations. However, the command is presented in a form
where additional knowledge of the definition of the PDF format is
indispensable. This package is an answer to the – occasional – questions
in newsgroups, about how one could use the comment function of Adobe
Reader. At least for the writer of LaTeX code, the package offers a
convenient and user-friendly means of using `pdfannot` to provide
comments in PDF files. Since version v1.1, pdfcomment.sty also supports:
LaTeX -> dvips -> ps2pdf, LaTeX -> dvipdfmx, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX
Unfortunately, support of PDF annotations by PDF viewers may vary. The
reference viewer for the development of this package is Adobe Reader.

Martin Gieseking submitted an update to the
dvisvgm
package.
Version number: 2.6.1
License type: gpl3+
Summary description: Convert DVI, EPS, and PDF files to Scalable Vector
Graphics format (SVG)
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
dvisvgm 2.6 is a small feature release that adds the new command-line
option --page-hashes. It allows for skipping the conversion of a page if
its content hasn’t changed and the corresponding SVG file already exists.
When this option is given, dvisvgm computes a hash value from the DVI
pages and adds it to the name of the SVG file to be written. As the hash
value only changes if the contents of the DVI page change, there’s
normally no need to convert existing SVG files again which should speed up
the conversion of large documents significantly. For more information on
this topic and further changes, see https://dvisvgm.de/News.
