Jürgen Hackl submitted the
tikz-network
package.
Version number: 1.0
License type: gpl3+
Summary description: Draw networks with TikZ
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In recent years, complex network theory becomes more and more popular
within the scientific community. Besides a solid mathematical base on
which these theories are built on, a visual representation of the networks
allow communicating complex relationships to a broad audience.
Nowadays, a variety of great visualization tools are available, which
helps to structure, filter, manipulate and of course to visualize the
networks. However, they come with some limitations, including the need for
specific software tools, difficulties to embed the outputs properly in a
LaTeX file (e.g. font type, font size, additional equations and math
symbols needed,...) and challenges in the post-processing of the graphs,
without rerunning the software tools again.
In order to overcome this issues, the package **tikz-network*** was
created. Since LaTeX is a standard for scientific publications and widely
used, there is a high chance that users are already familiar with the
syntax and the structure of this language. Beside LaTeX, no other software
tool is needed. The commands of **tikz-network** are kept simple but allow
a high control over the produced output. Post-processing of the network
(e.g. adding drawings, images, texts, equations,...) can be done easily,
due to the compatibility with PGF/TikZ (Tantau 2015). Also, the embedding
of the network visualization into the LaTeX-environment enables the use of
the fonts, font sizes, mathematical symbols, hyperlinks, references,...,
as used in the document. Additional features are the three-dimensional
visualization of (multilayer) networks, and the compatible with other
layout and visualization tools (e.g. igraph, netwrokx, QGIS, ...).

Summary description: Compute and typeset statistics tables and graphics
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The statistics package can compute and typeset statistics tables containing
frequencies, cumulative distribution functions (increasing or decreasing,
in frequency or absolute count domain), from the counts of individual values,
or ranges, or even the raw value list with repetitions.
It can also compute and draw a bar diagram in case of individual values, or,
when the data repartition is known from ranges, an histogram or the continuous
cumulative distribution function.
For teaching purposes, you can ask statistics to display no result, selective results or all
of them. Similarly statistics can draw only some parts of the graphs.
Every part of the generated tables or graphics is customizable.
There is extensive documentation that I can improve if it is unclear, and I commit to stability and not breaking
existing documents.

package.
Version: 2018-07-12
License: lppl1.2
Summary description: Creates a DB of Bible verses from e-Sword, then fetches them on command
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This bundle provides two packages, bibpes and fetchbibpes.
This pair of packages was motivated by a friend, who was
preparing Bible studies lessons using a combination of the
application e-Sword (http://www.e-sword.net/) and LaTeX.
He wanted a `database' of Bible verses from which he could
simply `fetch' passages into the LaTeX source file.
What's new (2018/07/11) Defined a new command fetchversestxt;
the command has the same arguments as fetchverses, but it does
not expand to typeset content. Rather, it defines two commands
versetxt and passagetxt. These two are the passage reference
and the passage for that verse but with all LaTeX styling
and font changes. See fetchversestxt.tex for a demonstration
of this new command, with applications.

Summary description: Support for the Stone Sans Phonetic font
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stone Sans is a humanist sans-serif font, and Stone Sans Phonetic is a
companion font for the International Phonetic Alphabet -- one of the first
professionally-designed IPA fonts, and still one of the best.
Because these beautiful fonts predate Unicode, Stone Sans Phonetic uses an
idiosyncratic encoding that makes it hard to use.
This package overcomes that limitation, and lets you use the two in
XeLaTeX as if they were a single Unicode font with good IPA support. (The
package does not contain the fonts themselves, which must be purchased
separately.)

Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We propose the axessibility package. PDF documents containing formulae
generated by LaTeX are usually not accessible by assistive technologies
for visually impaired people (i.e., by screen readers and braille
displays). The axessibility package manages this issue, allowing to create
a PDF document where the formulae are read by these assistive
technologies, since it automatically generates hidden comments in the PDF
document (by means of the /ActualText attribute) in correspondence to each
formula.

package.
Version number: 2018-07-03
License type: pd
Summary description: Unofficial reference manual covering LaTeX2e
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have updated the unofficial LaTeX2e reference manual.
There are many changes in this version. We have gone through the two
documents latex-info and latex2e-reference and made sure that this
document contains all the information about user-level commands that
those documents contain. There have also been other changes,
including switching to a single unified index, a more uniform entry
format, and many more examples and error messages. There are a number
of entirely new entries such as ones on strut, caligraphic math
fonts, oldmath, and blackboard bold. There have also been
adjustments to the organization such as having separate sections for
part, chapter, etc., and some combinations such as that of
clearpage and cleardoublepage.
In addition, there were many bug fixes, including greatly shrinking
the size of one of the graphics.
The English version and the French version track closely, although
they are separate projects on CTAN. The Spanish version needs
a maintainer.
Suggestions, bug reports, all discussion and contributions are welcome.

Robert Alessi submitted an update to the
arabluatex
package.
Version number: 1.12 2018-06-24
License type: gpl3+ cc-by-sa-4
Summary description: An ArabTeX-like interface for LuaLaTeX
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
arabluatex v1.12:
This release includes many long-awaited features. Actually, arabluatex is getting close to v2.0:
- abjad now accepts commands and counters as arguments, so that almost anything can be abjad-numbered: pages, lists,
&c.
- Introduction of LPeg patterns, making it possible to accept almost any LaTeX command in Arabic environments. Regular
footnotes and LR/LRfootnotes have been extensively tested, along with those of packages such as manyfoot.
- Much more tolerant MkArbBreak and new MkArbBreak* which directs arabluatex to close the current Arabic environment
before any 'declared' command, then resume it just after (to be used with great caution though).
- Color support! arabluatex is now able to render in color either words, parts of words (syllabes) or even diacritics
without losing any of the refined ligatures featured by such beautiful Arabic fonts as Amiri. Section 7 of the
documentation goes into details, although some of the techniques implemented require a good acquaintance with arabtex
coding. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Julien Rivaud submitted the
gatherenum
package.
Version: 1.7 2018-06-19
License: gpl3+
Summary description: A crossover of align* and enumerate
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The gatherenum package (ab)uses the inline enumeration capabilities of
enumitem to add a « displayed » enumeration mode, triggered by adding
|gathered| to the key-val option list of the enumerate environment.
The end result is similar to a regular enumerate environment wrapped
in a multicols environment, with the following advantages:
* gathered enumerate can pack items depending on their actual width
rather than a fixed, constant number per line.
* it fills items in a line-major order (instead of column-major order),
which my students found less confusing.
YMMV.

ketcindy
package.
Version number: 20180617.0
License type: gpl3+
Summary description: Creating graphics for TeX using Cinderella
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
KeTCindy combines a plugin to Cinderella with free mathematical software
(R, Maxima, ...) to produce high-quality LaTeX graphics.
Using Cinderella to generate graphics in an interactive environment, the
generated image can be fine-tuned using KeTCindy commands embedded into
CindyScript, the scripting language of Cinderella. KeTCindy can be regarded
as a prominent scheme to establish an effective linkage between visualization
tools and editing tools. Moreover, KeTCindy enables the importation of data
calculated or simulated using other mathematical software such as Maxima,
Fricas, Risa/Asir and R, and to combine them with the graphical data, so that
an extremely wide range of mathematical objects can be presented.
