Vít Starý Novotný submitted an update to the

Version number: 2025-01-15
License type: lppl1.3c gpl2+
Summary description: Development tools for expl3 programmers
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
## expltools 2025-01-15
### explcheck v0.5.0
#### Development
- Add support for ignoring file-wide issues and issues on a single line using
TeX comments. (#23)
For example, a comment `% noqa` will ignore any issues on the current line,
whereas a comment `% noqa: W100, S206` will ignore the file-wide warning W100
(No standard delimiters) and the warning S206 (Malformed variable or constant
name) on the current line.
- Add command-line option `--ignored-issues` and Lua option `ignored_issues`
for ignoring issues. (#23)
For example, `--ignored-issues=w100,s206` will ignore the file-wide warning
W100 (No standard delimiters) and all warnings S206 (Malformed variable or
constant name).
#### Fixes
- Correctly shorten long names of files from the current working directory in
the command-line output. (#23)
- Correctly parenthesize and order LPEG parsers in the file
`explcheck-obsolete.lua`. (#23)
- Do not produce warning S204 (Missing stylistic whitespaces) for non-expl3,
empty, or one-character names of control sequences. (#23)
- Do not produce warning S204 (Missing stylistic whitespaces) for an empty
grouping (`{}`). (#23)
- Do not produce warning S204 (Missing stylistic whitespaces) for a parameter
before begin grouping (`#1{`). (#23)
- Do not produce S204 (Missing stylistic whitespaces) for a comma immediately
after a control sequence. (505608f9)
- Do not produce warnings S205 (Malformed function name) and S206 (Malformed
variable or constant name) for non-expl3 functions, variables, and constants.
(#23)
- Do not produce warnings S206 (Malformed variable or constant name) for
variable and constant names that contain names of built-in types such as
`\c_module_constant_clist_tl` containing `clist`. (#23)

tkz-elements
package.
Version number: 3.10c
License type: lppl1.3
Summary description: A Lua library for drawing Euclidean geometry with TikZ or
tkz-euclide
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- version 3.10c
- Most of the functions have been optimized, and some have been commented on.
- Object classes have been enhanced with new attributes. For a triangle, you can directly access the semiperimeter, area, inradius and circumradius. In some classes, the `exradius` attribute is replaced by `circumradius`.
- For rectangle, square and circle, `perimeter` and `area` have been added.
- For line, new methods appear: `is_parallel`, `is_orthogonal` and `is_equidistant`. The latter allows you to determine whether a point is equidistant from the two points defining the line. The `swap` argument is available for all triangle creations. The result is now a single triangle, the second is obtained with `swap`.
- It is now possible to define an isosceles triangle from a straight line (segment) with length `isosceles_s`. You can use `isosceles_a` or the old `isosceles` method if you're using an angle. I've added a new test for triangles: `is_acute`. The `two_angles` method is identical to `asa`.
- The line , circle and triangle classes are complemented by methods with complicated names: `c_l_pp`, `c_ll_p`, `c_c_pp` and `c_cc_p`. These methods allow you to determine, from a line or circle, one or more circles tangent to lines or circles and passing through points. So `c_l_pp` means to create a circle tangent to a line (l) and passing through two points (pp). The first `c` reminds us that we're looking for a circle, the second group between `_` and `_` indicates the tangent objects (c or l) and the last indicates the points through which the circle passes.
- In the documentation, I've added a section on important geometry theorems (Viviani, Reuschle, Thébault,Varignon, Wittenbauer, Soddy, Six circles ... to be completed ...). Examples of new methods and attributes have also been added.

Karl Berry submitted the
gentium-sil
package.
Version: 6.200
License: ofl
Summary description: A complete Greek font with Latin and Cyrillic, too
Announcement text:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This new gentium-sil package replaces the previous gentium-tug;
gentium-sil is a redistribution of the original SIL release
(https://software.sil.org/gentium/), with no changes of any kind.
Specifically, it is no longer feasible to continue with the
conversion of Gentium to Type 1 that was the purpose of gentium-tug. The
original character definitions have intersecting splines, and there is
no way to reliably convert them to Type 1. My summary of the situation:
https://tug.org/pipermail/gentium/2024q4/000072.html
Therefore all we can do here is redistribute the original TrueType
fonts. (If anyone would like to come forward to create the necessary
support files for pdftex to use the TrueType fonts, that would be welcome.)
Any issues and discussion about the redistribution on CTAN, etc., can be
sent to the gentium(a)tug.org mailing list (archives and subscription at
https://lists.tug.org/gentium). Problems with the fonts themselves
should be reported to SIL; see info at
https://software.sil.org/gentium/support.
Herbert Voss expects to release a companion gentium-ttf support package
soon to provide convenient access to the font features provided in Gentium.

### Changed
- Clarified some package functionalities in the documentation:
- The new font baselineskip set by `\ScaleFont` has no stretch and shrink components.
- `\ScaleFont` is intended as a more robust alternative to `\scalefont` from the `scalefnt` package.
- `\SetFontSizeBaselineskip` is intended as a more robust alternative to `\fontsize` + `\selectfont`.
- `\PrintAllFontSizeParameters`, `\PrintSampleText`, and `\PrintFontSizeCommand` cannot be used in math mode.
- Code improvements:
- The package messages are now defined first.
- The package now regularly uses `\dim_to_fp:n` when handling dimensions within floating point expressions.

Jonathan P. Spratte submitted an update to the
expkv-bundle
package.
Version number: 2024-12-26
License type: lppl1.3c
Summary description: An expandable key=val implementation and friends
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A complete changelog can be found at
https://gitlab.com/islandoftex/texmf/expkv-bundle/-/blob/master/changelog.md
The following changes might break existing code:
## `expkv`
- `\ekvsetdefSneaked` and `\ekvsetSneakeddef` no longer define the macro as
`\long` automatically (use a prefix if you need to)
## `expkv-cs`
- improve the `choice` keys to allow arbitrary forwarded values (might break
existing choices containing an equals sign)
## `expkv-opt`
- remove deprecated `\ekvoProcessUnusedGlobalOptions` (it was already throwing
an error earlier, now it's no longer defined)

Simon Pfahler submitted an update to the
colorblind
package.
Version: 1.1
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Easy colorblind-safe typesetting
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In colorblind-safe documents, the contents are presented in a way
that the same information is conveyed to readers regardless of a
potential color vision deficiency.
This package provides the tools necessary for colorblind-safe
typesetting in LaTeX.
The most notable change in this release is that colorblind now
redefines the standard colors like `red`, `green`, `blue`, etc.
by default. This can be turned off using the option `keep-defaults`.
Apart from this, the documentation got a major overhaul, and
there were some minor bugfixes since the last release.

Vít Starý Novotný submitted an update to the
expltools
package.
Version number: 2024-12-23
License type: lppl1.3c gpl2+
Summary description: Development tools for expl3 programmers
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
## expltools 2024-12-23
### explcheck v0.3.0
#### Development
- Add option `--expect-expl3-everywhere` to ignore \ExplSyntaxOn and Off.
(discussed with @muzimuzhi in #17, added in #19)
- Add short-hand command-line option `-p` for `--porcelain`.
(suggested by @FrankMittelbach in #8, added in #19)
- Add file `explcheck-config.lua` with the default configuration of explcheck. (#19)
You may place a file named `explcheck-config.lua` with your own configuration
in your repository to control the behavior of explcheck.
Note that the configuration options are provisional and may be changed or
removed before version 1.0.0. Furthermore, support for configuration YAML
files that will allow you to specify different configuration for different
.tex files is envisioned for a future release and will be the recommended way
to configure explcheck.
#### Fixes
- Make the detection of error E102 (expl3 material in non-expl3 parts) more precise.
(discussed with @cfr42 in #18, fixed in #19)
- Use a less naïve parser of TeX comments to improve the detection of issues
W100 and E102. (reported by @FrankMittelbach in #8, fixed in #16)
#### Documentation
- State in the output of `explcheck --help` that command-line options are
provisional and subject to change. (discussed with @FrankMittelbach and
@muzimuzhi in #8 and #17, added in #19)
- Display the default maximum line length in the output of `explcheck --help`. (#19)
- Rename E102 to "expl3 material in non-expl3 parts".
(discussed with @cfr42 in #18, added in #19)
