License: gpl2
Summary description: OpenType ‘loader’ for Plain TeX and LaTeX
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2020-05-01 luaotfload v3.13
* A problem with text fonts with minimal math table has been fixed (issue 148.)
In new luaotfload versions, math parameters will only be loaded for fonts with `script=math`.
If you do want to set math parameters for fonts with other scripts, add `-nomathparam`.
We strongly recommend against setting math parameters for text fonts because
these would overwrite parameters from actual math fonts.
* A bug in harf-mode that could lead to missing chars and freezing was corrected (issue 141).
* A font size problem in harf-mode has been fixed (issue 147).
* An error if the main function was called twice has been fixed (issue 145).
* Allow .ttf fonts to be loaded with a map file with luahbtex (issue 142) (issue 143).
* Fonts installed for a single user on windows are now found (issue 138).
* A problem with wrong TeX-ligatures in harf mode has been fixed (issue 139).
* The debugging output has been changed (issue 131).
* a missing U+1E9E (Capital ß) in a font is replaced by
SS instead of giving a missing character.
* extended the color handling to be compatible with the luacolor package
* sync with context files from 2020-04-30

Roberto Di Cosmo submitted the
biblatex-software
package.
Version number: 1.0
License type: lppl1.3
Summary description: BibLaTeX stylefiles for software products
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Software plays a significant role in modern research, and it must be
properly acknowledged and referenced in scholarly works. To this end,
specific bibliographic entries for describing software, software versions,
software modules and code fragments have been designed by a dedicated task
force at Inria in 2020 that brought together researchers from Computer
Science and Applied Mathematics.
This package implements these four software entry types for BibLaTeX in
the form of a bibliography style extension. This means that one can
add support for these four software entry types to any other BibLaTeX
style used in documents typeset in LaTeX. It requires the Biber backend.
Full documentation and examples are included in the package, as well as
links to the repository where development takes place.

Version: 1.1 2020-04-19
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Framed minipages of a specified total width (text and frame combined)
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The boxedminipage package is a very simple package that essentially
just wraps a minipage within an fbox.
However, while fbox{egin{minipage}{linewidth}...end{minipage}}
juts out into the margin, egin{boxedminipage}...end{boxedminipage}
does not. Instead, it subtracts the frame's dimensions from the
specified dimensions of the minipage before typesetting the minipage.
Version 1.1 merely renames the package from boxedminipage2e to
boxedminipage, replacing the LaTeX 2.09 package of that name.

enhanced handling of date and time specifications, much-extended coverage of online
materials, and several new entry types. It also contains innumerable bug fixes and
general improvements. Please see the RELEASE file and biblatex-chicago.pdf for all the

Summary description: Spherical Mercator coordinate systems and Web Mercator tile integration
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Initial public release for a package which extends TikZ with tools to
create map graphics. The provided coordinate system relies on the
Web Mercator projection used on the Web by OpenStreetMap and others.
The package supports the seamless integration of graphics from
public map tile servers by a Python script. Also, common map elements
like markers, geodetic networks, bar scales, routes, orthodrome pieces,
and more are part of the package.

Summary description: A logbook for people with type one diabetes
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a package for keeps tabs on what one's eating, injecting, having
serum-glucose-wise. It's seen 2 major revisions / rewrites, and is mostly
intended for those with type one diabetes mellitus on manual injections
and discrete blood glucose testing, i.e., teststrips.
My physicians have always appreciated the .pdf's produced with this package,
given the discrete, analog nature of manual everything-- I hope yours will too.
It can promptly be edited to just be a journal, or collect and display
other data, too.

Scott Pakin submitted an update to the
pkfix-helper
package.
Version number: 1.5
License type: lppl
Summary description: Make PostScript files accessible to pkfix
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
pkfix is a useful utility for replacing resolution-dependent bitmapped fonts in a
dvips-produced PostScript file with the corresponding resolution-independent vector
fonts. Unfortunately, pkfix needs to parse certain PostScript comments that appear only
in files produced by dvips versions later than 5.58 (ca. 1996); it fails to work on
PostScript files produced by older versions of dvips.
pkfix-helper is a program that attempts to insert newer-dvips comments into an
older-dvips PostScript file, thereby making the file suitable for processing by pkfix.
pkfix-helper can sometimes process documents fully autonomously but does require the user
to verify and, if needed, correct its decisions.
Version 1.5 includes a number of improvements, most notably the following:
* Choose deterministically among equally likely fonts.
* Report ties and repeated fonts even at lower verbosity levels.
* Fine-tune some of the font sizes considered (e.g., LaTeX's so-called so-called 11 pt.
is really 10.95 pt., and its so-called 17 pt. is really 17.28 pt).
* Use pt instead of bp when generating TeX font samples.
* More robustly inject the pkfix-helper prologue code.
* Fix bug when both --keep and --tex are specified.
* Improve the documentation to better describe the argument to --force.
Thanks to Arkady Benediktov and Bruno Voisin for their suggestions and problem reports.

Summary description: Encoding notational conventions
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello,
This is a major upgrade (hence 'new package') to the pkg oops,
a tool for encoding notational conventions. The name change
(Custom COntent Oriented for LaTeX) reflects better the purpose
and the genealogy of this package (1).
In particular, the interface it not backward compatible due critical changes:
- to conform to xparse's recommendations
- in favor of simplification
- to allow new features
The new features are:
- Read/Write so notation that is created in one document can be used by another
- An option to make side effect persist after local group
- Versatile separators
- Support for lambda expressions
Other:
- More thorough testing, across 3 compilers
- More relevant listings
(this evolution is recorded in the doc under Change history)
Kind regards.

Gerd Neugebauer submitted an update to the
BibTool
package.
Version: 2.68
License: gpl2 cc-by-sa-3 mit pd
Summary description: A tool for manipulating BibTeX files
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Handling of extracting by aux file improved.
- Record extended by attribute lineno.
This attribute carries the line number of the initiating @.
- The format of the error messages has been slightly streamlined.
Double spaces are avoided; two colons in one message are avoided.
- The format of the messages of `check_rule` include file and line
number.
- Warning for double fields added.
- The empty output file is used to signal that the output should be
suppressed.
- The resources `check.warning.rule` and `check.error.rule`
have been introduced to allow semantic checks to be classified as
warning or error.
- The behaviour of the resource `check.double` has been
generalized. The requirement of double entries to be adjacent
has been dropped. This has the impact that the processing is
slightly slower.
- New resource file `unique.field` intruduced. With this
resource it is possible to specify additional unique constraints
for fields. If different records have the same value for one of
those fields then a warning is issued.
- Static library renamed from libbib.a to libbibtool.a.
