Both 6dot (uni2801--uni283F) and 8dit (uni2840--uni28FF) patters are included. They have been added in two styles: for sighted persons (such as teachers) in the serifed upright fonts and for blind persons in the sans upright fonts. The Math fonts (both Regular and Book weights) now include upright integrals in the ss02 StylisticSet. Use with setmathfont[StylisticSet=2]{NewCMMath-Book.otf} or setmathfont[StylisticSet=2]{NewCMMath-Regular.otf} or use the upint option of the fontsetup package with usepackage[upint,default]{fontsetup} for the Book weight, or usepackage[upint,olddefault]{fontsetup} for the regular weight. This version fixes wrong liga tables for standard ligatures (fi, ff etc) for the Sans family, thanks to Manuel Boni. The catch is that mf2pt1 imposes a number of restrictions on the Metafont input so it is not, as the name may imply, an automatic converter of arbitrary Metafont fonts to Type 1 format. Starting with version 2.6, mf2pt1 no longer automatically generates a unique ID for the font. Unique IDs frustrate reproducible builds of fonts; mf2pt1 generated such IDs randomly, implying that there was no guarantee of uniqueness; and Adobe has declared that unique IDs are no longer necessary (see, e.g., https://fontforge.org/docs/techref/UniqueID.html). The metadata are designed to be easy to extract, even by programs that are oblivious to the document's file format. Most of Adobe's applications store XMP metadata when saving files. Now, with the hyperxmp package, it is trivial for LaTeX document authors to store XMP metadata in their documents as well. hyperxmp integrates seamlessly with hyperref and requires virtually no modifications to documents that already exploit hyperref's mechanisms for specifying PDF metadata. hyperxmp can embed a wide variety of metadata as XMP, including the list of authors, document title, contact information (telephone number, postal address, email address, etc.), copyright statement, keywords, natural language, and much more. hyperxmp is compatible with pdflatex, lualatex, xelatex, latex+dvipdfm, and latex+dvips+Distiller. Version 5.8 includes a new add_byteCount Perl script that postprocesses a PDF file to specify the true file size in the XMP packet (property: <prism:byteCount>). The documentation describes how to configure the latexmk build tool to invoke add_byteCount automatically.
