Sebastian Ørsted submitted an update to the
SemanTeX
package.
Version number: 0.520
License type: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Semantic, keyval-based mathematics
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A clean-up update that should not change much for the end user. The most
important changes are:
* The commands NewObject, NewVariableClass, NewSimpleClass, and
NewSymbolClass now check whether the command name is already defined and, if
so, issues an error. In casesomeone wants to override this behaviour, commands
DeclareObject, DeclareVariableClass, DeclareSimpleClass, and
DeclareSymbolClass have been added.
* Some internal changes have been made which should allow issue-free use of
active (and math active) characters as names of classes and objects. Previously,
this was possible, but the system could not properly distinguish between
<character> and <character> as object or class names.
* The deprecated class types Cohomology and Delimiter have now been removed. So
has the key degree default which was defined to be equivalent to sep d.
* The stripsemantex ID markup commands have been changed from SemantexIDcommand
to SemantexID. This has required some changes in the names of commands in the
.semtex file.
* A section 12.4 has been added which shows how to create a binary operator
command that can also be applied to n elements.

Magnus Lie Hetland submitted the
abspos
package.
Version: 0.1 2022-09-22
License: mit
Summary description: Absolute placement with coffins
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The abspos package lets you place contents at an absolute position,
anchored at some specified part of the contents, similar to how TikZ
nodes work, though without using the two-pass strategy of TikZ.
It also avoids messing with the order of beamer overlays, which
is what happens when one uses the textpos package with the
overlay option.
The solution used is quite straightforward, combining coffins
(using l3coffins) with the placement mechanisms of atbegshi.

for operations is no issue while compiling with LuaLaTeX.
There is no need to install lua on users system as tex distributions
(TeXLive or MikTeX) come bundled with LuaLaTeX.
It is useful for generation of Truth Tables in tex file itself.
The package supports nesting of commands for multiple operations.
It can be modified or extended by writing custom lua programs.
The package is reviewed in tug 2022 conference and article
is published in proceedings.

This release fixes a linebreaking issue in the two styles `shadowedroundedkeys`

them if they are immediately followed by punctuation (or any other text with no
space before them). This is no longer the case.
Since this might change existing documents (even if only for the better) there
is rollback support to the previous version via LaTeX's built in system
provided. Just use `usepackage{menukeys}[=v1.6.1]` to get the old behaviour.

Changes since the last version:
- The required LaTeX kernel version is changed to <2022-06-01>
- Add support for the combinations of `corollary` and `definition`
- Paragraphs in theorem-like environments now has no `parindent`
- Several improvements to the configuration of lists, especially for the changes
of the enumeration labels, which should be less likely to be confused with the
usual parentheses
- The equation numbers are now gray
- ToC now has its bookmark
- Improved dot fill feature of the Index
- Various minor fixes and improvements to the font configuration
- Various minor bug fixes and improvements
The documentations, unfortunately, are still not fully updated. I'll try to
finish this work as soon as I get the time, but as writing documentations has
always been a time-consuming task, it might be difficult for me to put it on the
agenda before my master's thesis is finished next year 🙁

Ruben Deisenroth submitted the
darkmode
package.
Version: 1.0.1 2022-09-01
License: lppl1.3
Summary description: General Dark Mode Support for LaTeX-Documents
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi,
i am happy to finally publish my first LaTeX-Package: darkmode
The darkmode Package provides an API for template and package
developers to create dynamic color schemes for light- and darkmodes.
For those unaware: We refer to dark mode when a document has a dark
background with a light font and to light mode if it has a dark font
with a light background.
Therefore, it provides the following Commands:
IfDarkModeT{<true code>}
IfDarkModeF{<false code>}
IfDarkModeTF{<true code>}{<false code>}
enabledarkmode
disabledarkmode
(enabledarkmode and disabledarkmode should only be used at the preamble)
Why?
While for the common task of printing a dark mode has a lot of
disadvantages and would take a lot of ink, theese days it becomes
more and more common to view PDF files directly on a Screen.
And Screens emit a lot of Blue light, which - especially in
the evening - can be really annoying to stare at when working
on a large text document. Also modern displays can get so bright
that a stark black and white contrast is too strong for most
lighting scenarios.
Kind regards,
Ruben

texaccents
package.
Version number: 1.0.0
License type: mit
Summary description: Convert composite accented characters to Unicode
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TeXaccents is a standalone utility designed to convert legacy (La)TEX (text
mode, no math) and BIBTEX codes for “accented” characters to Unicode
equivalents. For example, ={a} (’a’ with macron) will be converted to ā.
Several utilities are available online that claim to be able to convert legacy
(La)TEX encoding to standard Unicode, but they are either not complete (e.g.
cannot accept the traditional and peculiar BibTeX encoding) or not always
reliable. This utility is obviously useless dealing with modern files written to
be processed by LuaLaTeX / XELaTeX, but can be useful dealing e.g. with old
BibTeX archives or old LaTeX files.
