The main change is that the definition of the plus and minus symbols
used in several parts of the library has changed in order to achieve
better alignment of voltages and amplifier symbols when using fonts
different from Computer Modern.
Additionally, internal connection dots in transistors are configurable
and have a new default, and documentation has got several
fixes and enhancements.
- Change the definition of the minus symbol (please see
https://github.com/circuitikz/circuitikz/issues/721)) for details
- Add documentation on how to contact the border of the
source symbols
- in transistors, solder dots and connection dots for body diodes
are now configurable
- Add anchors for the symbols on the `oo`-type sources; the symbols
have been slightly changed and repositioned in the process

### Changed
- Documentation title page background made non-selectable
(PDF reader dependent!) (issue #225)

- `
ewtcbox` and similar macros needed curly braces to protect
square brackets for key values. The implementation is adapted
to avoid such a need at several places (issue #229)
### Fixed
- The last version war inconsistently numbered 6.0.2 and/or 6.0.3
(issue #224)
- New LaTeX versions (from 2023-06-01) remove `parskip` at top
of `minipage`. Therefore, `parbox=false` has to be adapted

Timo Baumann submitted an update to the
BibArts
package.
Version number: 2.6
License type: gpl
Summary description: “Arts”-style bibliographical information
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
BibArts is a package to administer bibliographical references in footnotes,
and for creating a bibliography from these references simultaneously;
it requires a program, for which source and Windows executable are provided.
(A summary of contents is in English; the full documentation is in German.)
===
Changes from BibArts version 2.5 (2022b) to version 2.6 (now, 2023):
Version 2.6 improves the use of BibArts with BABEL and UTF-8. For this
purpose, some commands have been expanded: aoriginalTeX and agermanTeX
(for reproducing the catcode of on BibArts' lists), hy and fhy (for
printing a hyphen with a kerning), abra and fabra (for editorial additions
in adjusted square brackets). BibArts 2.6 is checking whether LaTeX
defines `inputencodingname' as `utf8'; if not, [f]hy and [f]abra will
not interpret UTF-8 multi-octets. Commands for compatibility with older
versions of BibArts are added:
otnewhyko and
otnewabra are downgrading
BibArts 2.6 to the older interpretation of [f]hy and [f]abra commands.
For details, see README.txt.

BibArts 2.6 (18/06/2023):

Version: 0.4.0 2023-06-14

Summary description: Clever LaTeX cross-references based on zref
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
### Added
- `labelhook` option, controlling whether to set a `zlabel` alongside a
standard `label`. This option uses the kernel's new `label` hook, which
significantly improves and simplifies the task of setting a `zlabel` in
places where this is not directly supported. The option is enabled by
default, and strongly recommended. It is not expected that this change will
bring backward compatibility problems, `zlabel`s continue to work just as
before, and the places where a `label` is required will also continue to
work the same way. The only case I see where you might need to adjust
existing documents is if you already had both `label`s and `zlabel`s with
the same names, in which case now you'll have a duplicate `zlabel` and will
indeed have to correct it. Also, you may be interested in taking a look at
the `label` or `zlabel`? section of the User manual, since the option
opens the possibility of a different approach in label setting in your
documents.
### Changed
- Given the new `labelhook` option and the fact that it requires both the new
`label` hook and the new hooks with options released in the latest LaTeX
kernel, the kernel version required by `zref-clever` has been bumped to
2023-06-01.
### Removed
- Given the new `labelhook` option, the parts of compatibility modules which
provided for setting `zlabel`s with `label` in places where the former is
not supported have been removed. These would conflict with the new option,
and the use of the `label` hook for this purpose renders them unnecessary
and is superior in every aspect. Namely, the compatibility modules changed
in this fashion are: `amsmath`, `memoir`, and `listings`.

Version: 1.63 2023-06-10

Summary description: An alternative to babel for XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bug fixes:
‣ Language options are now lowercased before they are handled.
This fixes errors when using the options in MakeUppercase
context (e.g., in headings).
‣ Fix casing value for medieval Latin (this concerns ⟨u⟩ and
⟨V⟩ casing).
‣ Remove hacks in some gloss files where MakeUppercase has been
redefined to a no-op since the respective scripts do not have
uppercasing. As MakeUppercase is now locale-aware, these hacks
are no longer needed. This concerns Arabic, Divehi, Hebrew,
Hindi, Kurdish, Persian, Punjabi, Syriac, and Urdu.
‣ Fix Eastern (Mashriq) Arabic numbering direction with LuaLaTeX
for Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, Syriac, and Urdu (amends previous
fix to #213).
‣ French variant=acadian refers to the Canadian French subvariety
as spoken in the Acadian region (as opposed to Quebec French).
To differentiate it we now use a dedicated subtag which can also
be used to access the language (fr-CA-u-sd-canb).
Note that Quebec French is currently connected with fr-CA,
not the more specific fr-CA-u-sd-caqc, although the u extension
is returned if requested via BCPdata. In practice, the Canadian
subvarieties of French are identical currently, anyway.
‣ Do not blindly de-activate the quote character in languages that
provide shorthands if the shorthands are not used. This allows
to activate the character with other packages such as csquotes (#592).
‣ Do not flood the LaTeX hooks with redundant French itemlabels
and footnote settings (#593).
‣ Fix Korean patching of part format with hyperref (#595).
‣ Make Hebrew numerals expandable (#596).
‣ Avoid superfluous writing of language switches to aux file (#593).
New features:
‣ New option capitalyiwn for Armenian.
‣ New option capitaleszett for German.
‣ New option capitaliota for Greek.
‣ New option datei for Serbian.
‣ New option sectionsep for Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, Syriac,
and Urdu (#589).
‣ Add aliases eastern (= mashriq) and western (= maghrib) to
Arabic numerals.
‣ New date commands oday*, odayGen, odayArabic, and
odayRoman (all with starred counterparts) for Serbian (#524).
‣ Implement basic support for variant=ijekavian in Serbian.
‣ Dutch now hyphenates properly on letters with tremata.
The new option, tremahyphenation, is provided to opt-out
this feature.
‣ Add shorthands a, e, i, o, u, A, E, I, O, U,
y, and Y to Dutch.
Interface changes:
‣ All language options are now lowercase by default (though the
mechanism is case-insensitive anyway). Changes cover Kurdish,
Sanskrit, Serbian.

Summary description: Randomized exams with multiple versions
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The `examz' document class builds on the `exam' document class that was developed by
Philip S. Hirschhorn. An author may use the class exactly as the `exam' class, but there
are also additional features. The document class facilitates the writing of questions
with random elements, the creation of multiple versions of an exam, and the use of
separate files as question banks. This class patches the `exam' class to avoid multiply
defined question labels when printing multiple versions of an exam. This class requires
the `counterz' package which was recently uploaded to CTAN by the same author.

Alan Munn submitted an update to the
movement-arrows
package.
Version: 2.0 2023-06-02
License: lppl1.3
Summary description: Drawing movement arrows on linguistic example sentences
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The movement-arrows package supplies simple support for drawing
arrows between elements in text or math. Its origin comes from
linguistics, where drawing arrows between words is often used
as an indication that the word or phrase has moved, hence the
package name. Because of this origin, the package is aware of
the main linguistics packages for example sentences and can be
used with those packages, but does not require you to use of
any of them. Arrows can also be annotated with labels.
The package uses TikZ as a base, and various properties of
the arrows can be adjusted using TikZ styles.
The package has been tested with the gb4e, linguex,
covington and ExPex example packages.
Version 2.0 fixes some linguistics spacing problems and also
changes the basic command names to avoid name conflicts with
other packages. It also adds a non-arrow version of the command.

Summary description: LaTeX macros for Linguistics
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
- Use LaTeX's own keyval mechanism rather than xkeyval.
- Introduce a better interface to customize the appearance of examples.
Now everything can be easily adjusted globally and locally via key-val
options. This entails the following changes:
* Allow to globally set example options via the new macro setexampleoptions.
* Add way to customize example and subexample number format.
* Add new example options: fs, fsno, fspreamble, fspostamble, leftmargin,
addnumbersep, addsubnumbersep, numberformat, subnumberformat, and
fnnumberformat.
- Add new gloss options: fspreamble, fspostamble, fstl, and enquotetl.
This allows for full customization of glosses via options, both
locally and globally.
- Package options now all have a key-value format as well.
- Introduce new package choice-option fnexamplecounter that supersedes
the two boolean, mutually exclusive options ownfncounter and ownfncounter*
(which are still supported for backwards compatibility reasons).
- Major documentation revisions.
