Summary description: Support files for SoftMaker free fonts available at www.freefont.de
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In June 2009 www.freefont.de offered a beautiful handwriting font
for free download: The Softmaker Stone Handwriting.
As handwriting fonts are a quite limited resource in the LaTeX world,
I decided to create support files for this beautiful font. Therefore,
Stone Handwriting will be the starting point for the softmaker-freefont
bundle. Other fonts will be included in future.
Supported fonts at the moment:
Baskerville-Nova (regular + bold + italic + bold italic),
Congress (regular + bold + italic), Delano-Caps, Flagstaff, Henderson,
Iceberg (regular + bold), Jugendstil, Old Blackletter, Stone Handwriting,
Sunset (regular + bold)
License: LPPL (not the fonts themselves)
New in v1.9:
- added support for the font family Sunset
(regular + bold + faked slanted + faked small caps)
Attention: The font is not included! This font is font of the
month (March 2010) and can be downloaded for free (at least
this month) at: http://www.freefont.de
Later you can buy it from Softmaker
- added options scaled and leading to all existing style files
- changing font families: fsh->5sh, fhs->5hs, ffs->5fs, fib->5ib
- renamed freefont.map -> softmaker-freefont.map
- renamed directory Baskerville-Nova -> BaskervilleNova

On Sun, 21 Feb 2010, Ralf Angeli submitted an update to the
preview
package.
Summary description: Extract bits of a LaTeX source as graphics
License type: gpl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The main purpose of the preview package is the extraction of selected
elements from a LaTeX source, like formulas or images, into separate
pages of a DVI file. This works with DVI files postprocessed by
either Dvips and Ghostscript or dvipng, but it also works when you are
using PDFTeX for generating PDF files.
Current uses of the package include the preview-latex package for
WYSIWYG functionality in the AUCTeX editing environment, generation of
previews in LyX, as part of the operation of the ps4pdf package, the
tbook XML system and some other tools.
The preview package is being developed along and distributed with
preview-latex. With the integration of preview-latex into AUCTeX as
of version 11.81, the preview package became part of AUCTeX as well.
It can therefore be obtained as part of AUCTeX distribution files
available at <URL:ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/auctex/>. CTAN provides
the standalone preview package at
<CTAN:macros/latex/contrib/preview>.
For more information about the preview package please refer to the
home page of AUCTeX at
<URL:http://www.gnu.org/software/auctex/>.
Version 11.86 of the preview package adds support for XeTeX.

Version 1.2o
======================================================
Note that this version is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BIBLATEX 0.9!
======================================================
- BUGFIX: When using the options 'xref=true' and
'useeditor=false', the editor was not printed in the
bibliography. This is now fixed. Also, some bugs
regarding the xref functionality in citations could be
fixed.
- BUGFIX: The editors in @incollection, @inproceedings and
@inreference entries were printed using the name format
'sortname' ('Lastname, Firstname') where it should have
been the name format 'byeditor' ('Firstname Lastname').
This is now fixed.
- New option 'omiteditor': If one uses 'useeditor=false'
and 'omiteditor=true', the editor in citations will be
omitted. The same applies to the xref functionality in
the bibliography. With 'useeditor=true', this option has
no effect. The standard for this option is 'false'.
- The limitation regarding the combination of 'xref=true',
'edbyidem=true' and 'useeditor=false' is no longer valid.
That means, it is not necessary to have the editor in the
child entry as well in order to get an 'idem' string.
- Extended the documentation.

Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
csv2latex is a Ruby/Applescript combination for Mac OS X
that allows cut and paste of spreadsheet table cells into
LaTeX source in a variety of common LaTeX table formats.
Requires Mac OS 10.4 or above.
As of Version 2.30 of TeXShop, csv2latex will be included as
part of TeXShop. Users of other text editors and users of
older versions of TeXShop should still find the script
combination useful.
New in this release:
Fixed a bug in the Applescript that caused the Cancel button
not to work.
Added a compiled Applescript for use with most Mac text
editors (e.g. BBEdit)
Added an Installer package to make installation maximally
simple.
Added a .plist file for easy use with TeXShop.
Updated documentation to be more friendly to non-TeXShop users.

With this script you can install a Postscript Type1 font family (at least the four

or will otherwise expect the *.pfb and *.afm files named in the Karl Berry scheme

After running it, you should have a working font installation in your local TeX tree.

i have installed a version of the faq on the archive. This version,
3.19c, contains a lot of tidying, a few mentions of new packages, but
isn't otherwise a significant change.
the actual list of changed answers may be found in the distribution, as
file CHANGES-3.19c; a ChangeLog file is also present in the
distribution,

version 1.2m
- BUGFIX: Changed the default of citerevsdnamedelim which
used to be a slash. Now it is empty, because otherwise
it produced two slashes in some circumstances.
- BUGFIX: In footnote-dw with 'xref=true', the reference to
the first entry did not work if the first citation of a
parent was cited via a child. This is now fixed.
- BUGFIX: In footnote-dw the punctuation of @collection
entries was wrong when using a prenote in conjunction
with 'useeditor=false' or when there was no editor. This
is now fixed.
- The biblatex option 'singletitle' can now be used both
with authortitle-dw and footnote-dw. Using this option, a
work's title is only printed if there is not more than
one work by the author or editor.
- New entry option 'pseudoauthor'. If set to true, the
author is put in brackets. This is useful for e.g.
editions of works whose authors are not named, but are
known. See the documentation for details. The entry
option does only have effect if the global option
'pseudoauthor' is set to 'true'. The default value is
'false'.

Like v0.7b this update fixes some issues with the CVS
