Version number: 1.8b License type: lppl1.3 Summary description: Document class for IEEE Transactions journals and conferences Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I am pleased to announce the release of the v1.8b update to IEEEtran.cls (the class file for IEEE journal and conference authors). Version 1.8b features a new comsoc mode for IEEE Communications Society publications. The IEEEeqnarray column specifications are now tolerant of active (or other punctuation catcode changes) as with babel under the german or ngerman language modes. The IEEEtrantools.sty package has also been updated (v1.5) to reflect the changes in the IEEEtran.cls v1.8b code base. Finally, the IEEEtran BibTeX (.bst) packages have been updated to v1.14. There is a new CTLuse_url field to the IEEEtranBSTCTL control entry type to allow user control of the display of URLs. The journal name string definitions file has been brought up to date and into 2016. See the respective changelog.txt files for full details. Enjoy! Dates should have the format yyyy-mm-dd or dd.mm.yyyy. A bit of robustness is coded in, due to different exports having different date formats.
