By default pgf only supports RGB shadings. Horizontal, vertical, radial, and functional shadings are supported for pdfLaTeX, LuaLaTeX, and XeLaTeX. pgf-cmykshadings attempts to produce shadings consistent with the currently selected xcolor colour model.
