GRAPHICAL CAPABILITIES BaKoMa TeX includes an interpreter for *PostScript Level 2*, which is tested for compatibility with output from popular software such as: MetaPost, Adobe Illustrator 10, Adobe Streamline 4.0, Mathematica 4, MatLab, CorelDraw 10, CorelXARA, HIGZ, PageDraw, FrameMaker, ImageMagick, etc. All DVI back-ends support the same special interface compatible with well known Rokicki's DVIPS, including processing PostScript embedded into DVI files (PSTricks, PSfrag, XyPic, etc.). The system includes Graphics Import Filters for the following formats: PostScript, HPGL, DXY, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PCX, MSP, BMP. PDF GENERATION FEATURES * Handling in-line PostScript in DVI files (PSTricks). * Creating PDF files which share fonts. They act like grouped objects. A number of objects can be saved to an instance file (.lpxi) and be inserted as a grouped single object in your drawings. E.g. a complete two input AND gate can be drawn once, saved to a instance file and be inserted a lot of times to create a logic scheme. * Added some preferences. * Inclusion of bitmap (*.bmp) images is not possible anymore for it is not fully supported by LaTeX. * Improvements made on arc drawing and conversion. * Framebox text rotation can now be specified within a range of -360..360 * Movement, resizing and drawing of objects now by default snaps to grid, by holding the shift key you can move, resize and draw freely without snapping. * Webupdate checker implemented. When a newer version is found on the CTAN server it asks if you want to be redirected. * Major improvements and additions made to the manual. It is not finished yet but a lot better and clearer than the previous releases. * Language editor added again. If you feel like translating LaTeXPiX into your language, please help me. License stays LPPL with some minor extra remarks. >From the README: I have programmed the bgteubner.cls document class by order of the Teubner Verlag, Wiesbaden, Germany. This has been done to ensure that books of this publisher have a unique layout. The publisher has allowed me to distribute the document class with auxilliary files and documentation freely. Unfortunately, most of the documentation is only available in German. Since the document class is intended to generate a unique layout, many things (layout etc.) are fixed and cannot be altered by the user. If you want to use the document class for another purpose than publishing with the Teubner Verlag, this may arrise unwanted restrictions (For instance, the document class provides only two paper sizes: DIN A-5 and 17cm x 24cm; only two font families are supported: Times and European Computer Modern). The document class needs some additional packages, partly relatively new ones, partly packages that are not installed on most TeX installations. A list of needed packages is contained in usefiles.txt. ChangeLog: 2003/10/30 v1.10 - Add proof environment - Smaller indentation for quote, quotation, example, etc. - Spacing around important(*) and theorem-like environments improved - Limits for integrals below and above the sign in displayed equations - Command qed for proofs introduced - Font size in theorem-like environments adjustable (global switch, default is normalsize, now) - Line break in ISBN prohibited - Use the same format for ISSN and ISBN - Class option `layoutraster' removed Attention: Some measures have changed from version 1.07 to 1.10. The distribution is under the LPPL. >From the README: The hieroglf package provides a Metafont version of about 75 Egyptian hieroglyphs from Serge Rosmorduc's comprehensive hieroglyph package. Sufficient glyphs are provided for writing a few names like Cleopatra or Ptolomeny (together with cartouches) and some numbers. There is a command for transliterating into a modern alphabet.
