Robert Alessi submitted an update to the
ekdosis
package.
Version number: 1.3 2021-08-18
License type: gpl3+ fdl
Summary description: Typesetting TEI-xml compliant Critical Editions
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ekdosis v1.3
------------
This release of ekdosis comes with many new features of which the most
important follow:—
- New global options `keyfloat' and `fitfloat': the latter lets the
apparatus grow until a predefined height is reached. From this point on,
the apparatus ceases to grow. Rather, the size of the characters is
scaled down to allow for more entries. If used appropriately, this
mechanism puts an end to the `oscillating problem' (see sect. 11.1 on
page 59) in most of the cases.
- Added support for marks in headers and footers.
- New preamble command ekdsetup.
- New option lineation=none.
- New command ekdpb* to force the page break.
- Improved handling of nested app. Added `num' and `nonum' optional
arguments to lem and
ote.
- New command eidirect to insert code in the TEI xml output file only.
- Much improved TeXtoTEIPat.
- New `locus' option in DeclareWitness.
- Allow strictly consecutive
ote commands to share the same `labelb'.
- Improved tests for babel and polyglossia. Added a `notelang' option to
apply in text entries introduced by the
ote command a language
different from the one that is selected in the edition text.
Corrections, improvements and bug fixes:—
- relocate_notes() operated outside <lem> in some instances: fixed.
- Page numbers ahead of entries spanning across pages are no longer
printed when `lineation' is set to `document'.
- Citation commands now use <bibl> and <biblScope>.
- Use lpeg to relocate anchors. Adapted frontier pattern to handle dots,
hyphens and underscores in xml:ids.
- TEI xml export: use <msItemStruct> instead of <msItem>.
For future work, please see sect. 13 on p. 75 of the documentation.

bytefield
package.
Version: 2.7 2021-08-17
License: lppl1.3a
Summary description: Create illustrations for network protocol specifications
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The bytefield package helps the user create illustrations for
network protocol specifications and anything else that utilizes
fields of data. These illustrations show how the bits and bytes
are laid out in a packet, register, or memory.
Version 2.7 of bytefield corrects the alignment of curly braces
when the document is compiled with LuaLaTeX.
Thanks to Georgi Nikiforov for the bug report and for testing
the revised package.

Markus Kohm submitted the
makelabels
package.
Version: 1.0
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Add a ‘makelabels’ feature to KOMA-Script letter classes and package
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The standard letter class letter has a label feature.
You can activate it using makelabels.
While in Germany window envelopes are common, printing labels
is not common and scrlttr2 has never supported label printing.
In the German KOMA-Script book I've shown how you can print labels
simply by printing a letter with special pseudo value settings.
Doing so you can use several configuration features.
Using makelabels.lco in opposite does only implement a makelabels
feature similar to the standard letter classes.
Currently there are no configuration features at makelabels.lco.
But you may use package envlab from CTAN after loading
makelabels.lco to get various configuration features.

Markus Kohm submitted the
uni-titlepage
package.
Version: 0.6 2021-08-16
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Universal titlepages with configuration options and predefined styles
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Creation of title pages is something most authors should not
have to do. But reality is not perfect, so a lot of authors
have to do it. In 2009 KOMA started the title page project at
https://komascript.de/titlepage to collect real title pages
and implement them with a well defined interface. In 2021 the
project has been moved to https://github.com/komascript/uni-titlepage
and renamed.
Now, changing from one title page style to another should be
very simple. Nevertheless implementation of a _new_ title page
style may still be difficult. But maybe the guys from the title page
project would help you. Just ask!
