The Oberdiek Package Support Group submitted an update to the grffile package. Version: 2.0 2019-11-03 License: lppl1.3c Summary description: Extended file name support for graphics (legacy package) Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Recent changes in LaTeX and specifically the release LaTeX2e <2019-10-01> patch level 2 mean that most of the facilities of grffile are not needed, also the changes mean that some of the original patches made by this package no longer work. This package is now a legacy package that by default just loads the standard graphicx package. Version: 2.60 2019-11-05 License: lgpl3 Summary description: 2D and 3D TeX-Aware Vector Graphics Language Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Transparent WebGL backgrounds were fixed. A build issue involving the revision number was fixed. The locatefile function now returns the fully qualified file name. The htmlviewer uses the absolute path for all platforms; it is also used for displaying svg files. SVG output for embedded PNG, JPEG, and external vector EPS and PDF images is supported with the latex TeX engine and dvisvgm 2.8. The simplex solver was optimized. A pad function that pads a picture to a precise size in both directions was introduced. The xasy front end was ported to high-resolutions screens and handles Ctrl-C interrupts correctly. Objects can be positioned finely with the arrow keys while holding down the mouse button. The origin/center order and anchor names were fixed. A front/back detection bug in the solids module was fixed. The grffile package fixes issues with included file names. This should address the issue with extra -quotes appearing in some constructs since the LaTeX 2019-10-01 Release due to changes in the filename handling. It also allows the extension of files with multiple dots in the name to be recognised without needing additional packages.
