The changes in this release mainly relate to handout mode, specifically
the handoutlayout command:
- It is now possible to adjust the margin around slides.
- A new option, 'align', can be used to even out the distances in-between slides, and between slides and the page edges.
- The way defaults are set for handoutlayout no longer triggers a bug in pgfpages.
- Fixed a bug in how page numbers are calculated (the number could be off by one when using nup=2, 6 or 8).
There have also been some documentation improvements.

arabluatex v1.14:
- New sample file 'exporting.tex'.

Robert Alessi submitted an update to the
arabluatex
package.
Version number: 1.13 2018-08-27
License type: gpl3+ cc-by-sa-4
Summary description: An ArabTeX-like interface for LuaLaTeX
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
arabluatex v1.13:
- Exporting Unicode Arabic to an external file: arabluatex is now able to
produce a duplicate of the original .tex source file in
which all arabtex or buckwalter strings will have been replaced with
Unicode equivalents, either in Arabic script or in any
accepted standard of transliteration. See the documentation on pp. 57-59
for more details. As a result of this new feature, it is
now possible to further process Unicode converted files with document
converters such as pandoc.
- New optional argument to arbmark, either 'rl' or 'lr', to override the
contextual analysis.
- New 'color' option to 'arabverse' environment.
- Use precomposed unicode ǧ/Ǧ instead of 'g/G + caron above'
- A quick fix to a tiny bug (or rather a missing feature) in either
'adjustbox' or 'luacolor' has been added.

Nicola Talbot submitted the
tex-locale
package.
Version: 1.0 2018-08-26
License: lppl1.3
Summary description: Localisation support for TeX and LaTeX documents
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This package uses both tracklang and texosquery to look
up the locale information from the operating system and
provide commands that can access locale-dependent infor-
mation, such as the currency symbol and decimal separator.
The file tex-locale.tex provides generic TeX code.
The LaTeX package tex-locale.sty can additionally load
babel or polyglossia with the locale's language setting,
as well as various other packages such as fontspec
(XeLaTeX/LuaLaTeX) or fontenc + inputenc (PDFLaTeX).
LaTeX example:
documentclass{article}
usepackage{tex-locale}
egin{document}
Today: CurrentLocaleShortDate.
Currency: CurrentLocaleCurrency.
end{document}
TeX example:
input tex-locale
Today: CurrentLocaleShortDate.
Currency: CurrentLocaleCurrency.
ye
Note that texosquery requires the Java Runtime Environment.
See the texosquery documentation for setup instructions.
If you can't use TeX's piped shell escape, see the tex-locale
documentation for an alternative method.
