Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ctanify is intended for developers of LaTeX packages who want to distribute their packages via the Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN). Given a list of filenames, ctanify creates a tarball (a .tar.gz file) with the files laid out in CTAN's preferred structure. The tarball additionally contains a ZIP (.zip) file with copies of all files laid out in the standard TeX Directory Structure (TDS), which facilitates inclusion of the package in the TeX Live distribution of TeX. Version number: 2.3 License type: lppl1.3 Summary description: Optimize the use of each page of a LaTeX document Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The goal of the savetrees package is to pack as much text as possible onto each page of a LaTeX document. Admittedly, this makes the document far less attractive. Nevertheless, savetrees is a simple way to save paper when printing draft copies of a document. It can also be useful when trying to meet a tight page-length requirement for a conference or journal submission. there was scheduled power work in the area of the host department for the archive machine. the host department had assumed that its ups would cover the period of switch over, but no such luck -- it still hadn't restored itself before 1300 utc, when i stopped monitoring. the ctan team apologises for this failure, though it was plainly out of our control (i'm no longer a member of the department, even).
