On Fri, 29 Jan 2010 Josef Kleber submitted an update to the
installfont
package.
Location on CTAN: /support/installfont
Summary description: A bash script for installing a Postscript Type1 font family.
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With this script you can install a Postscript Type1 font family (at least the four
basic cuts + (faked) small caps + faked slanted, but no expert fonts) for using
it with LaTeX (MiKTeX). The script will rename the fonts automatically (optinal)
or will otherwise expect the *.pfb and *.afm files named in the Karl Berry scheme
(e.g. 5bbr8a.pfb). Just adapt the script variables to your fonts and directories.
After running it, you should have a working font installation in your local TeX tree.
License: LPPL
New in v1.1:
- added automatic renaming of the fonts by analyzing the afm files

i have installed the new version, and updated the catalogue repository.
Users may view the package's catalogue entry at
http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/pst-coil.html
or browse the package's directory at

The catalogue entry will change (somewhat) overnight tonight.

i have installed a version of the faq on the archive. This version,
3.19c, contains a lot of tidying, a few mentions of new packages, but
isn't otherwise a significant change.
the actual list of changed answers may be found in the distribution, as
file CHANGES-3.19c; a ChangeLog file is also present in the
distribution,
Users may view the faq's catalogue entry at
http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/uk-tex-faq.html
or browse the faq's directory at
http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/uk-tex-faq
The online version of the faq, which has some eccentrically clunky
interaction capabilities and is subject to genuine 1995-style HTML
formatting, may be seen at http://www.tex.ac.uk/faq
The catalogue entry will change (somewhat) overnight tonight.

On Wed, 27 Jan 2010 Siep Kroonenberg submitted updates to the
epspdf
and
epspdf-extra
packages.
Epspdf[tk] is a Ruby script which converts between PostScript, EPS and PDF. It
has both a command-line and a GUI interface.
Using pdftops (xpdf command-line utilities) for round-tripping opens up several
new possibilities compared to older similarly-named utilities.
Epspdf-extra provides support for epspdf on Windows and MacOS X platforms.
