latex-make
package to CTAN.
Location on CTAN: support/latex-make
Summary description: easy compiling of complex (and simple) LaTeX documents
License type: gpl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This package provides several tools that aim to simplify the
compilation of LaTeX documents:
* LaTeX.mk: a Makefile snippet to help compiling LaTeX
documents in DVI, PDF, PS, ... format. …
[View More]Dependencies are
automatically tracked: one should be able to compile
documents with a one-line Makefile containing 'include
LaTeX.mk'. Complex documents (with multiple bibliographies,
indexes, glossaries, ...) should be correctly managed.
* figlatex.sty: a LaTeX package to easily insert xfig
figures (with includegraphics{file.fig}). It can interact
with LaTeX.mk so that the latter automatically invokes
transfig if needed.
* And various helper tools for LaTeX.mk

Summary description: A collaborative annotation tool for LaTeX documents
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
------------------------------------…
[View More]----------------------------------
FiXme v4.1 is out.
What's new:
** 8 new PDF-specific annotation layouts.
** New annotation layout: marginnote
** Better mechanism for handling layout mutual exclusion.
** Fix bug in inner layout processing.
FiXme is a collaborative annotation tool for LaTeX documents.
Annotating a document refers here to inserting meta-notes,
that is,
notes that do not belong to the document itself, but rather
to its
development or reviewing process. Such notes may involve
things of
different importance levels, ranging from simple fix the
spelling
flags to critical this paragraph is a lie mentions.
Annotations like
this should be visible during the development or reviewing
phase, but
should normally disapear in the final version of the document.
FiXme is designed to ease and automate the process of managing
collaborative annotations, by offering a set of predefined
note levels
and layouts, the possibility to register multiple note
authors, to
reference annotations by listing and indexing etc. FiXme is
extensible, giving you the possibility to create new layouts
or even
complete themes, and also comes with support for AUC-TeX.

Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The rangen package is a package that generates random
integers, rational numbers, and decimal number. Actually,
the package uses the lcg package (by Erich Janka) to
generate random integers, while rangen builds rational
numbers and decimal numbers from the generated integers. My
purpose in writing this package was to be able to create
random questions for the quizzes of exerquiz (part of AeB).
Indeed, that is what you can do with this package: Write a
quiz question based on a template (for example,
differentiate $a x^{
}$ , where a and
are RVs (random
variables) generated with rangen), determine if the user
input is correct, and display the correct answer to the
question.
