CTAN has a new package: mkjobtexmf v0.1

On Mon, 16 Apr 2007, Heiko Oberdiek submitted the new package mkjobtexmf to CTAN. It's a new program: NAME mkjobtexmf -- Generate a texmf tree for a particular job SYNOPSIS The progam mkjobtexmf runs a program and tries to find the used file names. Two methods are available, option -recorder of TeX (Web2C) or the program strace. Then it generates a directory with a texmf tree. It checks the found files and tries sort them in this texmf tree. It can be used for archiving purposes or to speed up following TeX runs. CTAN update: pdftex.def v0.04g

On Tue, 17 Apr 2007, Heiko Oberdiek submitted an update to the pdftex.def file. Location on CTAN: graphics/pdftex/pdftex.def Changes of version 0.04g: * pagecolor overloads shipout. Location on CTAN: macros/xetex/latex/arabxetex Summary description: An ArabTeX-like interface for XeLaTeX License type: lppl Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ArabXeTeX provides a convenient ArabTeX-like user-interface for typesetting languages using the Arabic script in XeLaTeX, with flexible access to font features. Input in ArabTeX notation can be set in three different vocalization modes or in roman transliteration. Direct UTF-8 input is also supported. The parsing and converting of ArabTeX input to Unicode is done by means of TECkit mappings. Version 1.0 provides support for Arabic, Maghribi Arabic, Farsi (Persian), Urdu, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Ottoman Turkish, Kurdish, Jawi (Malay) and Uighur. Re-arrangement of pstricks distribution on CTAN

The pstricks distribution on CTAN has long looked somewhat anomalous; a coherent set of contributed packages has built up, under graphics/pstricks/contrib, but the rest of the distribution was dotted around a number of sub-directories of graphics/pstricks. This structure was error-prone (as far as we archivists were concerned), but also, we believed, somewhat confusing to the user. We have therefore, with Herbert Voss' help, rearranged things so that the basic structure is graphics/pstricks/base -- containing the pstricks system itself, in subdirectories generic/, latex/, dvips/ and doc/ graphics/pstricks/contrib -- containing the many contributed pstricks packages (Note, this represents no change to the contrib/ structure.) Users may consult the (not very different) pstricks catalogue entry at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/pstricks.html or browse the new directory structure of the base/ distribution at http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/graphics/pstricks/base/ We hope that pstricks users will find the new structure satisfactory.
