CTAN update: xkvview v1.4 (part of xkeyval bundle)

On Fri, 20 May 2005, Hendri Adriaens submitted an update to his package xkeyval to CTAN. This package is an extension of the keyval package and offers additional macros for setting keys and declaring and setting class or package options. The package allows the programmer to specify a prefix to the name of the macros it defines for keys, and to define families of key definitions; these all help use in documents where several packages define their own sets of keys. CTAN update: movie15

On Thu, 19 May 2005 Alexander Grahn submitted a new version of the movie15 package to CTAN. This package defines includemovie with PDF-1.5 compatibility. Option 'autoplay' causes the media clip to be started right after the page has loaded. This is useful for side by side movie clips to be played back synchronously. On Wed, 18 May 2005 John Burtsubmitted an update to his poemscol package, containing macros for critical editions of poetry. Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/poemscol License type: lppl Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Poemscol 2.3 adds the ability make linenumbers for prose sections such as the author's introduction or for prose poems. Footnotes or endnotes of various kinds can be made for prose sections just as for poetry. Solved the problem which sometimes caused the ``missing number'' error on first runs. Changed the names of some counters, in order to make poemscol compatible with lineno. Location on CTAN: /support/png2pdf Summary description: PNG to PDF converter License type: bsd Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The png2pdf program converts PNG images to PDF. An alpha channel in the PNG file can be used to mix against a specified background color and/or to create a PDF image mask or PDF alpha channel. The program may be of interest for pdfLaTeX users creating posters, flyers having colored background. This release contains a documentation update only, the program code was not changed. There was a question in comp.text.tex how to use png2pdf with the beamer document class. This package adds line numbers to selected paragraphs with reference possible through the LaTeX ef and pageref cross reference mechanism. Option `displaymath' (proper numbering at paragraphs containing math displays) becomes default (`obsolete'. 2. Compatibility with hyperref now indeed (at least much more). 3. Tidied up documentation: terrible confusion of ewcounter vs. stepcounter; sections on the same matter written at different times; ... 4.
