I've got an old copy of Jim Hefferon's excellent catalogue search from www.ctan.org; it's been off the air for a bit, but is now available again at http://www.tex.ac.uk/CTANfind.html Does what you need, I think, though it's undoubtedly less pretty than Jim's current thing (which is on a machine that's currently not working...). After a bad storm, the US main CTAN node alan.smcvt.edu is out of service. In particular, the web interface at www.ctan.org cannot be reached. We apologize for the interruption. We will post an announcement when the machine is operational again. For the CTAN Team Rainer Schöpf

Jim Hefferon's just reported that the machine has been fried by a storm. He doesn't know how long it will take to get things back on the air again. In the mean time, there's still cam.ctan.org/dante.ctan.org (for ftp) and www.tex.ac.uk and www.dante.de for web access. I fear that www.tex.ac.uk's CTAN search is currently broken, and dante doesn't have one :-( Report problems to ctan(a)dante.de, please.
