No longer warnings about ambiguous citations if `authorformat=year' is used. New entry type @LEXICON introduced (alpha stage!). bugfix regarding babel's french options (reported by Peter Flynn). sort.format.names removed for sortkey. All spaces are ignored now. natbib-emulated command `citet' improved (bug reported by Klaus Hellermann). citeworkwithtitle{} allows to specify a list of works (keys), for those the title should always be printed (suggested by Till A. Heilmann) natbib emulation commands using the first optional argument for pages now (bug reported by Bear F. Braumoeller). rewritten macro jbfirstcitepageranges. Documentation added. Counting of citations inside footnote's introduced to avoid lowercase ibidem at the begin of the footnote. `pages=always' includes no longer the pagerange in the short citation. lowercase ibidem for inline citations or cite's inside the same footnote (reported by Matthias Damm). some def's replaced by DeclareRobustCommand's. bugfix for indexing with `index' package, reported by Dirk Steinmeyer. No special code for loaded footmisc, exceeded TeX capacity if `multiple' option was used (reported by Thorsten Manegold). Printout no title, if `authorformat=year' is used and no shorttitle is given (reported by Carsten Mennenoeh). output of startpage for ibidem citations is suppressed now (suggested by Benjamin von Engelhardt). Making TeX Work on CTAN

i've just installed a file info/makingtexwork/mtw-1.0.1-html.tar.gz on ctan here. it's a copy of Norm Walsh's submission of the current version of the free html version of the o'reilly book. the root of the html tree is makingtexwork/html/index.html in the expanded archive. many thanks to Norm for permission to install the package. The major changes: 1. Now *all* macros that draw a figure and that take a list of points or numbers as their last parameter can take that list from an external file. 2. The options mplabels and truebbox are now independent of one another. 3. With option mplabels, the specification of the location of a label can be any *list* of MetaPost point expressions, enclosed in braces. 4. New options draft, final and nowrite. 5. The main documentation now includes an index of commands and options. 6. Several bugs from version 0.5 corrected. Doing so will replace the following files: psfonts.dtx lw35nfss.zip freenfss.zip changes.txt >From the change log: * Fixed TFM and VF files for mathpazo. The size of certain symbols was wrong, because of a bug in the fontinst package. * mathpazo.sty: Changed definition of hbar with better spacing. * Fixed identification strings in 8rpcr.fd and t1put.fd. * Fixed comments in 8r.enc. * Unneeded file removed from lw35nfss.zip. The changes to the mathpazo fonts may result in changed line and page breaks. I'm really sorry for the mess; the bug in the fontinst program was unnoticed for a long time. I generally intend them to be used as a basis for modifications. For that reason I avoided the use of docstrip: keeping the source and comments in one file makes hacking easier. I tested them with recent version of heblatex from http://ivritex.sf.net/ . Specifically, they use hebalef rather than alef, and thus will not work with heblatex 2.0c from babel. Due to necessary changes for Windows XP please announce the update as follows to CTAN-ANN. ps2eps v1.39 in CTAN:support/ps2eps ----------------------------------- ps2eps is a tool to produce Encapsulated PostScript Files (EPS/EPSF) from usual one-paged Postscript documents. It calculates correct Bounding Boxes for those EPS files and filters some special postscript command sequences that can produce errorneous results on printers. You need: - perl (an interpreter for the perl language, see http://www.perl.com) - ghostscript (an interpreter/raster image processor for the PostScript language, see http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/) - maybe an ANSI-C compiler if you don't use Linux, Solaris, Digital Unix, HP-UX or Windows 9x/NT/2000. - The program is licensed under gpl. Important changes since version 1.35: - This is an update that allows also to convert postscript files created under Windows XP (or PScript.dll 5.2) to eps. I found that the original postscript output drew white boxes that erased portions of the text above the bounding box of the embedded image, although the .eps image was clipped by includegraphics*! ps2eps fixes this. - Added filter for Star/Openoffice 5.2 - Added /setpagedevice {pop} def to prolog in order to fix problems with pdf creation, pstricks and nested dvips output (thanks to Hans Fredrik Nordhaug <hansfn(a)mi.uib.no> for suggesting this addition) - Improved processing of binary files with beginimage endimage ----- End forwarded message ----- Thanks for the submission. GRAPHICAL CAPABILITIES BaKoMa TeX includes an interpreter for *PostScript Level 2*, which is tested for compatibility with output from popular software such as: MetaPost, Adobe Illustrator 10, Adobe Streamline 4.0, Mathematica 4, MatLab, CorelDraw 10, CorelXARA, HIGZ, PageDraw, FrameMaker, ImageMagick, etc. All DVI back-ends support the same special interface compatible with well known Rokicki's DVIPS, including processing PostScript embedded into DVI files (PSTricks, PSfrag, XyPic, etc.). The system includes Graphics Import Filters for the following formats: PostScript, HPGL, DXY, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PCX, MSP, BMP. FONTS BaKoMa TeX supports the following font formats: * PostScript Type 1 (including Multiple Masters), * PostScript Type 3, * TrueType, * OpenType, * TeX PK/VF. Suitable for preparing CD-ROM based document libraries. * Embedding fonts in CFF requires 2--3 times less space then other font forms. * Handles HyperTeX (HyperRef) and document outline. *** NEW FEATURES OF BAKOMA TEX 5.0 in comparison with BAKOMA TEX 4.60 *** * (La)TeX to HTML Conversion * Dynamical Preview Improvemets * Window Docking (La)TeX to HTML Conversion -------------------------- BaKoMa TeX 5 supports several ways for conversion of (La)TeX documents into HTML files. * `TeX|Generate HTML ...' text editor menu command lets you launch `TeX4HT' convertor with numerous options. * `File|Generate HTML ...' DVI viewer menu command lets you convert pages of a DVI file into PNG files wrapped into navigation HTML pages. This approach is useful for documents with complex graphics, such as slides. In advance, BaKoMa TeX is ready to use `HEVEA' and/or `TTH' convertors. Launching of these convertors is available via extra TABS of `TeX|Generate HTML ...' editor command. Including graphics is well integreated with BaKoMa TeX graphical engine. In this reason, you can insert everithing supported by BaKoMa TeX into generated HTML pages. Dynamical Preview Improvements ------------------------------ * New flexible way for managing windows provide much more optimal use of display space in Dynamical Preview mode. So, console and DVI window may be reattached to different edges of main window. Commonly it is based on new Docking approach. * TeX Daemon is running in separate console. It enables running TeX (or another utilities) without terminating Dynamical Preview. * Text in Dynamical Preview window is automatically adjusted to be visible in window. * GUI Control Bar was extended to simplify Visual Design of math formulas with help of Dynamical Preview. Window Docking -------------- BaKoMa Text editor supports docking another windows at any edge of own window. It supports four docks: `Left', `Right', `Bottom', `Top'. Dockable windows have `Docking' option in context menu activated by clicking right mouse button in the window. This option enables choose desired dock for a window, including virtual dock: `None', that disable docking of the window. Currently, dockable windows are: * Console Windows (new version manages several consoles) * Messages Window * DVI Windows (!!!) It is important, that every copy of DVI Viewer has own docking settings. So, you can choose different docks for regular document Windows (DView-0, ...), Character Map (DView-F), Partial Preview (DView-P), Dynamical Preview (DView-B), and Help Viewer (DView-H). In advance, BaKoMa TeX 5.0 introduces different consoles for compiling regular documents (Console), for `Dynamical Preview TeX Daemon' (Console-B), and for generating Postscript files (Console-G). This approach enables: (1) choosing different docks for running these processes, and (2) compiling entire document without stopping Dynamical Preview. Sizes of window docks may be adjusted under `Docking' tab of dialog opened by `Options|Appearance ...' editor menu command. You can specify which dock will occupy bottom corner of the editor window. Width of bottom dock or height of other docks may be adjusted by dragging rulers whose divide docks from another window space. `Top dock' is slightly non standard object. It is positioned at right top corner of editor window. It shares top area of window with control bars. This dock is small dock. However, it may be useful for managing `Console Window' and `Messages Window' on large displays, that will save a lot of space for another tasks.
