Announcement text: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- subcaptionlite provides the subfigure and subtable environments, \subcaption, \subcaptionbox and \subref with the same syntax as the subcaption package, but without the caption package. It does not touch @makecaption of the class, so it can be used with classes that have their own design of captions.
Subfigures and subtables are numbered (a), (b), ... within each float, and the number of the float is right whether its caption comes before or after the subcaptions. hyperref and cleveref are supported. It works with pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX, LuaLaTeX (with or without LuaTeX-ja), pLaTeX and upLaTeX; with Japanese classes the space after the label is half of the full-width character. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
