tug.ctan.org site will not be working for a while

The web scripts at http://tug.ctan.org are being upgraded and consequently aspects of the site will be non-functional, perhaps for a few days. The ftp archive will remain up. Only the web interface -- addresses that start with http -- will be affected. I apologize for this interruption. I hope people consider the end result an improvement. Jim Hefferon

License type: gpl Announcement text given by the package's contributor: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alphabib is a little Bash script allowing addition of alphabetical headers into BibTEX bibliographies. This may be usefull with large bibliographies so that to find entries quickly. It takes a bibliography file produced by BibTEX (file with extension '.bbl') as an input, and creates a new file with incorporated alphabetical headers. Those headers break the bibliography into bibliographic entry sets having the same initial. Each set is entitled with a header consisting of the initial letter corresponding to entries composing it.
