On Wed, 4 Jul 2007, Alexander Grahn submitted an update to the
animate
package.
The package provides an interface to create portable, JavaScript driven
PDF animations from sets of graphics files or from inline graphics, such
as LaTeX picture environment, PSTricks or pgf/TikZ generated pictures, or
just from typeset text.
Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/animate
Summary description: creating portable PDF animations from graphics files and inline graphics
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Today's update adds 3 options:
begin={<begin text>}
end={<end text>}
timeline=<timeline file>
The first two are for use with the `animateinline' environment only.
<begin text> and <end text> are inserted into the code at
start and end of each frame. Mainly used for setting up some drawing
environment, such as begin={egin{pspicture}(...)(...)}, end={end{pspicture}}.
The third option associates a timeline with the graphical material that
has been embedded by animategraphics or `ainmateinline' and provides
extended control of the order of appearance, superposition and repetition
of the embedded material. It allows to contruct more sophisticated
animations and may help to reduce the file size of the resulting PDF.
