Cian Dorr submitted the
propositions
package.
Version: 0.9
License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: Typeset and cross-reference named and numbered propositions
Announcement text:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The propositions package is a new LaTeX package for typesetting and cross-referencing named and numbered displayed propositions (examples, theses, premises...). Â Cross-references can include customizable formatting; the appearance of proposition labels and cross-references is controlled by a flexible key-value interface. Â For example: if one writes \begin{prop} \item[Monism, format=\textsc{#1}] \label{mon} All is one \end{prop} \ref{mon}, one will get a description-like list with 'Monism' in small caps, and the subsequent \ref{mon} will also produce 'Monism' in small caps.

Norman Gray submitted the
beastie
package.
Version: 0.14.1
License: bsd2 0bsd
Summary description: Beastie is an experiment in parsing and processing BibTeX files
Announcement text:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastie is an experiment in parsing and processing BibTeX files
* A parser for .bib files, amongst others.
* An implementation of the .bst BibTeX Style Language.
* That .bst implementation is hosted in a dialect of Scheme, extended with suitable parsing and processing primitives.
The goals of this project are:
* to explore ways of processing .bib files which aren't exclusively based on .bst;
* to provide a second implementation of the BST language; and
* to initiate some sort of conversation about BibTeX standards, broadly construed.
There was an article about Beastie v0.12 in TUGBoat, 46:2, pp.220–227 (2025), doi:10.47397/tb/46-2/tb143gray-beastie.
