CTAN Update: savetrees
by CTAN Announcements 11 Apr '13

11 Apr '13

Scott Pakin submitted an update to the savetrees package. Summary description: Pack as much text as possible onto each page of a LaTeX document License type: lppl Announcement text: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The goal of the savetrees package is to pack as much text as possible onto each page of a LaTeX document. Admittedly, this makes the document far less attractive. Nevertheless, savetrees is a simple way to save paper when printing draft copies of a document. It can also be useful when trying to meet a tight page-length requirement for a conference or journal submission. Version 2.1 introduces a convenient set of package meta-options -- subtle, moderate, and extreme -- which encapsulate useful subsets of savetrees's space-saving techniques. In addition, savetrees now knows how to reduce space within and between mathematical expressions. Finally, to complement the documentation, the package includes a new demonstration file, st-sample2.pdf, which showcases savetrees's ability to reduce document white space. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This package is located at http://mirror.ctan.org/macros/latex/contrib/savetrees . More information is at http://www.ctan.org/pkg/savetrees (if the package is new it may take a day for that information to appear). We are supported by the TeX Users Group http://www.tug.org .
