following a discussion on tex stackexchange, i've made a small change to
the moreverb package: it now only allocates a write stream if the
document uses the verbatimwrite environment.
i've now installed the new version on ctan and updated the catalogue
repository.
Users may view the package's catalogue entry at
http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/entries/moreverb.html
or browse the package's directory at
http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/moreverb/
The catalogue entry will change (somewhat) overnight tonight.

On Thu, 14 Apr 2011 Paul Pichaureau submitted an update to the
exercise
package.
Summary description: The package helps to typeset exercises or list of exercises within any document.
License type: gpl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This package helps to typeset exercises or list of exercises within any
document.
Exercises, questions, sub-questions are automatically numbered. It is
possible to put answers in the same document, and display them
immediately, later in the document or not at all.
The layout of exercise is fully customisable. It is then possible to typeset
long problems, short exercises, questionnaires, etc.
v1.55 2011/03/13 Reference to answer greatly improved. Command
efAnswer added (thx to Ferenc Wettl)

ctable.sty provides commands to easily typeset centered or left or

Instead of an environment, a command with 4 arguments is used; the
first is optional and is used for key, value pairs generating
variations on the defaults and offering a route for future
extensions.
