This is the first release of multicoltab, a LaTeX package providing a table environment whose rows can continue in the next column of a multicols layout or on subsequent pages. Each source row is typeset as an independent tabularx, allowing breaks between rows while keeping each row intact.
Unlike longtable and xltabular, multicoltab is designed to work inside multicols. It supports consistent natural column widths, X columns, optional headings, row spacing, break penalties, and explicit column or page continuations with heading repetition.
