Summary description: Aquarium fish, invertebrates and aquascapes drawn with TikZ
Announcement text: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tikzfins is a new package that draws aquarium fish and aquascapes with TikZ.
It provides 22 fish in side profile, from reef fish such as the clownfish, blue tang, lionfish and a blacktip reef shark to freshwater favourites such as the goldfish, betta, neon tetra and corydoras, along with snails, starfish, a cleaner shrimp, a hermit crab and a moon jellyfish. Each is a flat vector illustration with the markings of the real species.
An aquarium environment and a fish bowl environment let you build a complete tank, with sand, gravel, aquasoil, pebbles or crushed coral, and rocks, driftwood, plants, corals and ornaments.
There is some nonsense too: any fish can be eaten down to the bone, open its jaws to feed, grow legs, get caught on a hook, blow bubbles, talk, wear a hat or a snorkel, and swim in a school.
The package needs only TikZ and works with pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
