It covers over 20 calendar systems including Gregorian, Julian, Hebrew, Islamic, Chinese, Hindu (traditional and astronomical), Mayan, Persian, Tibetan, Balinese, and more, staying close to the structure of the book's reference implementation. The module is purely computational with no formatting or typesetting functionality, and has no dependencies beyond Lua 5.3 or later.
