Version: 1.5 2026-11-03 License: lppl1.3c Summary description: A tagging-aware package for typesetting linguistic examples and glosses Announcement text: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- linguexx 1.5 repairs sub-example references under the current LaTeX kernel, and adds shared glosses for word-order variants, morpheme alignment, and right-to-left documents and glosses. Fixed in 1.5 * With the LaTeX kernel of October 2026 (the latex-lab update of 2026-10-27), \ref to a sub-example printed "a." instead of "(4a)", and \refrange could not read the number back. Documents that refer to sub-examples should update. * A document loading babelbidi (new in TeX Live 2026) together with linguexx did not build under LuaLaTeX. It does now. linguexx's right-to-left layout needs polyglossia; under babel, a document whose main language is right to left is not supported yet. * Under LuaLaTeX with polyglossia's French, a judgment mark containing ? was printed on top of the first word instead of hanging to its left. * Two PDF/UA failures: \GlossTierLang{2}{} wrote an empty language tag, and a translated sub-example under \GlossTransLang left its language open into the next item. * Under [phantomalign], a gloss word's leading ( now sits under the object word's ( when the object has more marks, as in (⌜. New in 1.5 * \CommonGloss: sub-examples that differ only in word order share one set of gloss lines, set as one aligned table (and read as a table in a tagged PDF). It works in exe lists through \begin{xlist}[CommonGloss], and in beamer a \pause between rows uncovers them one at a time. * \GlossMorphAlign aligns glosses morpheme by morpheme across tiers, with no new markup: ev-ler-de over house-PL-LOC puts -ler over -PL. * \exrefcheck lists what every relative reference (\Next, \Last, ...) and every \refrange resolved to, to catch an example inserted between a \Next and the example it was written for. * Right-to-left text with polyglossia: \GlossRTL and \glscript for right-to-left glosses, and right-to-left documents, whose examples are the mirror image of left-to-right ones, with each gloss running in its example's direction. A complete Hebrew example document ships with the package. LuaLaTeX is recommended. For a tagged document with right-to-left text it is required: under XeLaTeX, every right-to-left paragraph fails PDF/UA, with or without linguexx. Version: 1.1 2026-11-03 License: lppl1.3c Summary description: Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds and simit crumbs over your pages Announcement text: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sesameseeds 1.1 is a new, light-hearted LaTeX package that makes a document look as if it was read by an academic eating a simit (the Turkish sesame-crusted bread ring) over the printout. Features: - Every page receives a random but reproducible scatter of oven-roasted sesame seeds and crumbs of caramelised crust, drawn with TikZ. The debris is identical on every compilation. - Seeds cluster where the simit was held, with a few strays that bounced across the page; some come off in pairs and a few are over-roasted. - Five mess levels (light to catastrophic) and options for seed size, roast, spread, black sesame, crumbs, title page, and drawing over or under the text. - Hand-placed debris: \sesamesprinkle for a handful of seeds, \sesameseed for a single seed, and \simitring for the ring of seeds and crumbs left where a simit was put down. - \nosesame keeps a page clean ("read with a napkin"), \sesameoff and \sesameon pause the mess, and the package option "off" removes everything for the camera-ready version. Works with pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX (LaTeX 2020-10 or newer, TikZ, pgfopts). The documentation is itself a short paper on the stochastic deposition of Sesamum indicum seeds on scholarly manuscripts. Version: 2.1.0 License: gpl3+ Summary description: Automatically update the entries in a BibTeX file Announcement text: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a command line tool for updating the entries in a BibTeX file using the free tools provided by the American Mathematical Society: mrlookup, MathSciNet and MRef. By default bibupdate uses mrlookup to update `article`, `book`, `inproceedings` and `incollection` entries when they do not have an `mrnumber` field. Entries are not updated if they already have an `mrnumber` field, even an empty one, unless `--all` or `--check` is used. With the `-X` option, bibupdate looks for each paper in the arXiv and adds `eprint` and `archiveprefix` fields for all ghe papers that it finds. By default, bibupdate writes the updated entries to a new file, with the filename given by adding a "updated_" prefix. USing the update the bib file in place, use the `--overwrite` option. They take the same title and footer arguments as ilustracao and tabela, plus the column specification, and are used outside a float: \begin{quadrolongo}{\caption[short]{Title}\label{...}}{\fonte{...}}{<columns>}. The header rows come first and \cabecalhofim separates them from the body; the header is repeated on every page. The content is an xltabular (longtable with X columns) as wide as the line, so the document must load \usepackage{xltabular}; without it, using the environment gives an error that says what to add (likewise for \rowcolor/\cellcolor without colortbl).
