As announced two days ago I have virtualized the services provided by
tug.ctan.org. This means that my institution, Saint Michael's College,
has allowed me to put the services onto a box that lives in the server
room, so that it has uninterrupted power, regular professional backups,
etc. (It is also greener.)
The system is an intricate combination of baling wire and expectorant,
and many of my services had at least a little trouble, but in particular
the www services had database trouble (basically, PostgreSQL 8.3 is
pickier about foreign keys than the version on which the service
previously ran). I believe that most of those are now back.
I appreciate folks's patience.
