On Sun, 10 Aug 2008 Dominik Wassenhoven submitted an update to the
biblatex-dw
package.
It is a small collection of styles for the biblatex package. It was designed
for citations in the humanities and offers some features that are not provided
by the standard biblatex styles. Biblatex-dw is dependent on biblatex (at least
version 0.7) and cannot be used without it.

License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
v1.1f
- BUGFIX: Corrected wrong punctuation when using 'idembib=
false' in conjunction with an editor.
- Added crossref functionality (using biblatex's field
'xref'). This works for authortitle-dw as well as
footnote-dw. For further information please have a look
into the package documentation.

On Sun, 10 Aug 2008 Eugene K. Ressler submitted an update to the
sketch
package.
Location on CTAN: /graphics/sketch
Summary description: 3d sketching in a PSTricks-like language; major update
License type: gpl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a major update to the previous CTAN upload of Sketch. It has important
adaptations to newer PSTricks versions, adds support for ConTeXt, and fixes a
few bugs.
Sketch is a small, simple system for producing line drawings of
three-dimensional objects and scenes. It began as a way to make illustrations
for a textbook after we could find no suitable tool for this purpose. Existing
scene processors emphasized GUIs and/or photo-realism, both un-useful to us. We
wanted to produce finely wrought, mathematically-based illustrations with no
extraneous detail and be able to easily overlay TeX math and text. The input
language is reminiscent of PSTricks, so will be easy to learn for current
PSTricks users. See http://www.frontiernet.net/~eugene.ressler .

On Mon, 4 Aug 2008 Christian Feuersänger submitted an update to the
pgfplots
package.
Pgfplots draws high-quality function plots using normal or logarithmic scaling,
with a user-friendly interface. The user supplies axis labels, legend entries
and the plot coordinates for one or more plots and Pgfplots applies axis
scaling, computes any logarithms and axis ticks and draws the plots.
Pgfplots is based on Till Tantau’s package PGF/TikZ.
Location on CTAN: /graphics/pgf/contrib/pgfplots
License type: gpl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The new version 1.1 contains speed improvements, several bugfixes and several improvements to the user interface.
The file doc/latex/pgfplots/ChangeLog contains more detailed information.
