semantic-markup
package.
Version number: 2016-09-01
License type: lppl1.3
Summary description: Macros for meaningful semantic markup in the
spirit of the Text Encoding Initiative, especially for humanities and
music schola
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The semantic-markup package provides simple commands to allow authors
(especially scholars in the humanities) to write with a focus on
content rather than presentation. Commands like erm and foreign are
aliases for emph; quoted and soCalled are aliases for quoting
commands. These commands could be easily redefined for different
formats. The package also provides a Footnote environment so that long
footnotes can be more cleanly separated from the main text.

Palle Jørgensen submitted the
addfont
package.
Version number: 1
License type: gpl3
Summary description: easier use of fonts without LaTeX support
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
addfont is intended for use by users who know about fonts. It is a
quick-fix for fonts which does not have genuine LaTeX support. It is
not meant as a replacement of the LaTeX font definition files.
It is meant as something more useable for LaTeX users than the
ewfont command. With addfont the loaded font scales along with the
usual LaTeX size selection. Using this package still requires some
knowledge on how to use fonts with LaTeX.

Benedikt Vitecek submitted the
cooking-units
package.
Version number: 1.00
License type: lppl
Summary description: Typeset and convert units for cookery books and
recipes
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
While writing a cookery book or a recipe one can encounter problems
regarding typesetting amounts and units, for example the spacing
between the amount and the unit, the usage of different fraction
commands, or -- concerning the latter case -- the usage of too many
different units.
This package provides commands to typeset amounts and units consistently
and offers an easy to use key-value-syntaxt to convert one unit into
another (for example 'dag' to 'g'; see the documentation for more
examples).
