On Tue, 14 Jul 2009, Roberto Giacomelli submitted an update to the
calctab
package.
The calctab package helps the user to typeset a kind of economic table such as
invoices, expense notes and liquidation, or other tabular material with a values
column. The code computes sum and percentage with floating point numeric
methods (using the fltpoint package) and builds the render table task.

On Tue, 14 Jul 2009, Josef Kleber submitted an update of the
pdfcomment
package.
Location on CTAN: /macros/latex/contrib/pdfcomment
Summary description: A user-friendly interface to pdf annotations
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a long time pdflatex has offered the command pdfannot for inserting
arbitrary PDF annotations. However, the command is presented in
a form where additional knowledge of the definition of the PDF format is
indispensable. This package is an answer to the – occasional – questions
in newsgroups, about how one could use the comment function of Adobe
Reader. At least for the writer of LATEX code, the package offers a
convenient and user-friendly means of using pdfannot to provide comments
in PDF files. Since version v1.1, pdfcomment.sty also supports:
LaTeX -> dvips -> ps2pdf, LaTeX -> dvipdfmx and XeLaTeX.
Unfortunately, support of PDF annotations by PDF viewers is sparse to
nonexistent. The reference viewer for the development of this package is
Adobe Reader.

Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This the new release of the xepersian package (v1.0.1). It
fixes all the know bugs and is written from scratch with
improved macros. Unfortunately there is no documentation due
to my illness but feel free to ask your questions at google
farsilatex group at
http://groups.google.com/group/farsilatex/?hl=fa
or XeTeX mailing list.
There are some examples that will help you understand how
the package works. Before looking at xepersian examples make
sure you look at bidi examples as xepersian depends on the
bidi package.

On Tue, 14 Jul 2009, Vafa Khalighi, having taken over maintainance, submitted an
update to the
bidi
package.
Location on CTAN: /macros/xetex/latex/bidi/
Summary description: Support for bidirectional typesetting with XeLaTeX
License type: lppl
Announcement text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the new release of the bidi package (v1.0.1). This
version has been tested by me and other people and so
contains a minimum number of bugs (or known better as XeTeX
limitations). In this version we have fixed all the known
bugs and support for lots of LaTeX packages is added. There
is no real documentation at the moment due to my illness but
if you have any question, then please ask it on the XeTeX
mailing list. There are heaps of examples that will help you
understand how this new version works and what features are
added. Unfortunately it proved almost impossible to support
hyperref and color because of XeTeX limitations. For color
support, you are encouraged to use xecolour package instead
using ordinary color and xcolor packages. Also please note
that when you use longtable package with bidi package, in
RTL mode, your tables will not break when a page is finished
and again this is due to XeTeX limitation. Please note that
you always should load bidi package as your last package.
